Sept 22 is the day

Hi everyone. I have been in the process of doing this surgery for the past two years. I have done some research but more than that it has taken me this long to realize that I will never get the weight off on my own. I have read a lot of post and I apprecialte all the information I have gleaned from this and other sites. I am just looking forard to having the surgery over and done with. Anyone else out there sharing this day with me?

Hi rjsjsn.  I am also sharing your new birthdate.  My surgery is on Sept. 22.  I will be having lapband surgery.  My doctor only required a 2 day clear liquid diet.  I am on day 2.  I have a bit of a headache but being compliant is well worth the reward.  I have also been considering weight loss surgery for 2 years and decided to give it another try on my own.  Well, I lost 40 lbs. on my own and gained it all back and then some.  Funny, I am not afraid at all.  I have an excellent surgeon and I going to a hospital of excellence.  I am ready !  Good luck to you.  Keep in touch.

Hello 9/22 Friends!!!

I had my gastric bypass on 9/22! Just came home yesterday....Feeling a little sore, but doing well...sip sip sip...walk walk walk...sip sip sip. But I know it will be worth it!
