I had my surgery on 9/9/09 and had been unable to find the right protein shake for me. I tried Isopure vanilla and that was awful. Finally, I found two that I absolutel love.

The first is

1. Syntrax Nectar Whey Protein Isolate, Powder, Lemon Tea - This is just like drinking ice tea. I could drink protein all day now. I couldn't with Isopure now I'm home free. :-)

2. Unjury - chocolate and unflavored.

I hope this helps someone.

You can find it at the Vitamine Shoppe. IT's a MUST. Especially if you don't want those dry bulky chauk tasting whey protein drinks. I drink mine as a nice cool refreshing tea. I actually find myself craving them so I KNOW I'm getting more than enough protein. It helps to control hunger too.

You can also try Netrition.com - they have SO many different flavors!

Thanks for the info! I have to send the hubby back to The Vitamin Shoppe tomorrow anyways, so I'll have him grab some while he is there! I love my tea.

Please let me know what you think. I think its great...primarily because what are the options? We can't have soda so this is the next best thing and I'm tired of chauky protein drinks. yuck. This is like a nice refreshing imitation of iced tea. Add some ice to it and you will love it enough to keep drinking.

Keep me posted.

vitalady.com sells sample packs of all their protein supplements for $1.99 ea, including all the nectars..  i got some from her (and from unjury.com) to see what i liked and didn't like...

i'm lucky - she lives about 20 minutes from me so i can just go there instead of doing mailorder!!

Did you try the Lemon Ice Tea? I don't think it's equivalent to the real thing but when you need protein and you don't want those same tired ole drinks it's a welcoming addition and refreshing.

I drink it as a refreshing drink.

i got some but haven't tried it yet....  i'm not a big fan of sweetened tea, but i'm willing to give it a shot...   i liked the cappuccino --  i thought the flavor was a bit too strong so i added more water....  it tasted like iced coffee - would be really good in the summer..

i also got a Syntha-6 brand -- chocolate mint.....it was  to DIE for!!  yummm-oh...
