Today is my sixth day following surgery. My surgery was on 9/9/09. I'm feeling great, my face looks smaller, and I've lost 10 pounds.

The most amazing thing to me is that I can actually get full off of 4 TABLESPOONS. OMG who would have ever imagined.

I'm so excited for you all and I wish you sucess on your journey. If there is anything I can answer to ease your mind please feel free to ask. I have SIX days of experience. lol

Time for me to change my signature ticker.

CONGRATULATIONS!  That is so exciting to hear.  I am still waiting on a date.  How are you feeling?  How long are you going to be off work?  That worries me!

Howdie,

I feel AWESOME. So much so that it's scary because I want to do more but I forget I can't. Yesterday I lifted a lot of things that I shouldn't have and today I'm paying for it. My insides feel like they're all over the place.  I took off four weeks but the way I feel I could probably go back this coming Monday but I'm not. I need this break.

Has your insurance approved it yet? If so, what's the hold up? I would call the doctor everyday until I had an appointment.

Just remember to WALK and SIP, WALK and SIP. The day of surgery....about 5 hours later GET UP AND WALK. Take your pain medication right before and get up. It helps...boy it helps.

Hi there,

I'm still doing great. I ventured out this weekend to the mall and the movies and it was fun. However, I think I reached my max with walking. My body was physically tired when I got home. My staples are now out and it feels good to finally turn over in the bed without discomfort.

I also went out to eat with my family this weekend and was dismayed by the food servings. I mean I only ate 4 tablespoons but their portion sizes really hit home. I can't believe I allowed myself to ever eat that much. 1.5 weeks ago that would have been a normal meal for me. I realized that American's really eat too much. We went to Cracker Barrel and my husband ordered his usual which use to be my usual too. It was repulsive to me. Seeing him and all the people around me eat really effected me. I use to eat my food and some of his. That's A LOT OF FOOD. I hope and pray never ever to go back to that lifestyle again.

I felt soooo good about myself that I was only able to eat a little and be happy. The funny part is the waitress thought that she forgot to bring my food because I only ordered a side dish. Which of course I had to take home because I couldn't eat it all. This side dish will probably last me a good 3 days of breakfast.

I'm down to 220 from 236 on 9/9/09. I need to adjust my bar.

Hi there,

Well let me say...I tried to GULP some water the other day and it felt like I swalloed a tsunami. I will never gulp again. SIP, SIP, SIP. I haven't started back sleeping on my stomach yet. Mainly because it's still healing. I meant to ask the doctor about that but I forgot.

Yes its normal. Thats how I felt. I think its the fact that we know we can only SIP...that makes us want more. You know.

My problem is I find myself not wanting to puree my food. I'd rather chew it instead but I need to stop because that's risky. How are you doing with puree?
