Anyone have their surgery 9/1/09?
I'm feeling pretty good also. I've been on pureed food since Thursday and I've tolerated everything well. My tummy also rumbles, but it's not uncomfortable and I don't feel any physical hunger. Pain isn't bad at all. I've been taking pain meds about once a day and some Tylenol in between. So far, so good! How is everyone else???
I am doing well...I have been sore over the past few days and have been taking my pain medicine only when needed...I am able to drink my liquids and take my vitamins, but it takes me all day to do so..Last night, I had a bad case of gas and my stomach was killing me. I had to lay down and let the gas pass though..I do also notice that I do get easliy winded when I do my daily walking with my mom, but trying to move around as much as I can. Overraall, I feel good..not 100%....but getting there.
I wish everyone a safe and speedy recovery.

I am 9 days post up now (9/1) and I gotta admit, I am miserable! I have terrible trapped gas under my right rib cage(I call her my child) that stays with me day and night, and at times it will radiate to my chest and up to my shoulder.
I am doing all of the "things" that I can possibly do yet I am seriously miserable. I went for my post op visit today and was advanced to "mushies" yet my tummy is so bloated I don't have any desire to drink, much less eat. I just don't feel good-ughh
I am a little frustrated! I know, I know, I know this was the right thing but feeling this miserable makes me feel a lot of buyers remorse, right now!
Anyone feeling my pain, uhh so to speak?
I wish you all a better recovery!

I know how you are feeling. I had terrible gas for 3 days and it hurt so bad that I wanted to cry. I still have gas, but it doesn't hurt like it did. You might want to try the chewable gasx to relieve the gas and if you are not walking...start walking!..Walk..walk walk...it really helped me out. I hope you feel better and your "child" will be gone for good....that sounded kind of weird...lol
