I'm having my surgery on the 22nd of September in Mexico. I'm so nervous but very ready to start this journey.
My pre-op diet says to start 7-14 days before surgery date. It is an all liquid diet. I'm not sure how they expect someone who can't control eating on her own to stick to this for two weeks. I'm always hungry, but I'm going to try my best. It's kinda like putting a pile of drugs in front of a drug addict and telling them not to touch them.

My MD is letting me eat one small meal a day (lean cuisine or sm salad) plus lo carb shakes. I'm getting about 600-700 calories a day. It SUCKS. I agree that it seems a little crazy to expect us with eating problems to just not eat for 2-3 weeks? I know it is to get the fat off the liver and I keep reminding myself of that but in the 9 days of this diet I've cheated twice, yelled at my boss irrationally twice, cried, felt dizzy, and very spacy at work.
