Maybe you have to we more dence protein to keep you fuller.  I know that when I am at work it is actual hunger but when I get home it is head hunger because I want to just sit on the couch and snack.  I really try not to.  Normally I have 3 meals a day however yesterday I had 4.  I don't eat carbs at all it is all protein.  My extra meal was a few slices of beef jerky.  Not bad at all.

As for your stall this is what I got at another post:

This early "stall" happens for biological reasons. This explanation is courtesy of Diana Cox:

Our bodies use glycogen for short term energy storage. Glycogen is not very soluble, but it is stored in our muscles for quick energy -- one pound of glycogen requires 4 lbs of water to keep it soluble, and the average glycogen storage capacity is about 2 lbs. So, when you are not getting in enough food, your body turns first to stored glycogen, which is easy to break down for energy. And when you use up 2 lbs of glycogen, you also lose 8 lbs of water that was used to store it -- voila -- the "easy" 10 lbs that most people lose in the first week of a diet.

As you stay in caloric deficit, however, your body starts to realize that this is not a short term problem. You start mobilizing fat from your adipose tissue and burning fat for energy. But your body also realizes that fat can't be used for short bursts of energy -- like, to outrun a sabertooth tiger. So, it starts converting some of the fat into glycogen, and rebuilding the glycogen stores. And as it puts back the 2 lbs of glycogen into the muscle, 8 lbs of water has to be stored with it to keep it soluble. So, even though you might still be LOSING energy content to your body, your weight will not go down or you might even GAIN for a while as you retain water to dissolve the glycogen that is being reformed and stored.

I had to read this about 3 times to actually understand it however it really make sence.

Keep up your good work on your weightloss.

This might be a good questions to ask the pregnancy board.  They would probably have the answer for you.

Its a stall but don't worry about it.  You are doing fantastic.  My first 20 lbs was a piece of cake now I only lose 3 lbs a week.  I am ok with that it is way better then gaining 3 lbs a week.  Hang in there we are all on the same boat.

Hi there, just registered for the site. I'm in Washington state and had my surgery on 9/22. I was losing quite nicely for a while but am in stall mode currently. Today marks the end of my first month and I'm down 24 lbs...wow, that's almost 5 bags of flour :-)

I had to do 2 weeks of liquid diet and now I'm onto 6 weeks of soft or pureed food. I've got 4 weeks left of that and I'm already struggling for new things to try. I've mainly been eating mashed potatoes, eggs, cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, pudding, refried beans, and some creamy soup. I need ideas...anyone???

could be a calcium deficiancy. I know even before the surgery I would get calf cramps if I was low on calcium. What vitamins are you using?

I had surgery on 9/22 and I'm bouncing between 1 to .5 lbs for the past week too...everyone says very normal. Our bodies are trying to catch up to what we've just gone through...hang tight and keep doing what your surgeon says...

I've been in a stall for about a week, too.  I'm sure our weight losses will pick up again soon.  I think my body is in shock from not having tremendous amounts of food in it anymore!!  : )

I'm in a stall as well and I have been told it is completely normal...

14 pounds lost before surgery. My first ticker is when I hit onderland: this was my goal when I started on this journey.  I want to focus on that right now...once I get there I can reevaluate.

My second ticker is my dream goal. Even if I only visit there for a short time, it would be nice to see that number just once.  I am pretty sure I'll need plastics to hit this goal.

I had RNY on 9/29 and for the first two weeks lost a little over 14 pounds.  My official three week weigh in will be on Monday but it looks like so far that I've only lost one pound.  Is that even possible?  I'm so scared that I've done something wrong or you know that feeling - am I the only one this surgery won't work for?  Please help - any advice would be greatly appreciated.  I'm feeling a little over the top right now and it's hard not to compare myself to others who have lost 20 pounds at this poinit.  HEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPP
