Hey, it's me, Crysti

I just blogged about this on my page.

Dec 12th is my 3 month surgiversary and I haven't lost 1 lb since 2 months.

I'm frustrated to no end and really sad.  But at least I haven't gained back any of the 55 I've already lost.  It's just frustrating.  *sigh*

Congrats to all you though, you're doing fantastic!!

Congrats!!  My highest BMI was 53 and now I am at 39.  39 is a big number to me because of the adoption of my daughter.  China imposed a 40 BMI limit for adoptive parents.  Now if they would just get rid of their "no singles" rule I could adopt from China again someday!!

Hi Sept. peps!

My name is Gina. I am 9 weeks out and I weighed at 218 on the day of my surgery.  Today I weighed in at 180.  So that is a total of what...38lb in 9 weeks.  Holly cow that is fantastic!  My starting wt. in the WLS program was 246lb so all together I have lost 66lb this year!  And the year is not over yet!  My goal is to weigh 150 so I only have 30lb to go.  I am very excited to get there and get toned up and strong.  I may never run (because of my back) but I would love to set an amazing goal for myself...  I will think of something.  Maybe a big hike or something!  I will keep you all posted.

Congratulations to everyone and remember attitude is 80% of life.  Think positive and great things will keep happening for you!

Take care!

Topic: RE: Plateau's
Let's see. When I hit my plateau which lasted over three full weeks, I lost my mind, got weighed a lot, announced my surgery as a failure, and cursed the world. I don't recommend any of this. Truth is, I don't think that anything I did helped. I just think my body decided when it was time. I know that I look way better than I did at the beginning of it, so I guess the biggest lesson is faith.

Good luck. I hope the plateau has lifted for you by now.

Sounds good Asia! For once, I'm sitting back and watching my sister make dinner! She's on Jenny Craig, so I have faith that she won't OD me on fat.

BTW- love your new avitar. I have a hardhat in my car. I should take a pic and we could be avatar twins!

I'm Perry from Nashville and I mostly lurk, but I'm always interested in finding out how my fellow Sept'08 WLS folks are doing.

I'm 6'6" and weighed 441 pounds on August 15th.  On that day, my surgeon put me on a liquid diet which lasted for a month until my surgery on Sept 15th. I lost 45 pounds on the liquid diet, which shocked me. What a lot of fluid!!  Since then, I've lost another 57 pounds for a grand total loss of 102.  I'd say another hundred or so to go.

My surgeon has been insistent that I lose as much as possible this first six months because he says it'll get harder after that time. I'm moving more easily and lots faster. I try to take the stairs whenever I can...I try to park in a space further away than I used to no matter where I'm going...I can't believe this is going so well.

Thanks to all of you for your support and for sharing your experiences. This would be a lot harder without OH.

I am averaging the same around 800 per day and 60-80g ++protein per day.  I think we are all doing great by staying in that range unless your Dr. or nut changes something for you.

Congratulations!

Hi, my name is Jeannie and I had my RNY on 9/2/08 and to date have lost 56lbs.  Since about six weeks, I lose for a week or so then stall for 2 or 3.  Seems to be a pattern with me.  I don't do anything different in the weeks that I lose vs. when I stall.  I just can't figure it out.  Regardless, I am not gaining so it really does not matter.  Nice to meet you all, hope to talk more soon.  Happy Thanksgiving.

I just want to say to everyone to have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!  Eat your 2 oz of Turkey and be full for the rest of the day!!!

What are you guys making for Thanksgiving?  My mom is doing the Turkey, Dressing and Gravy.  I am incharge of the sides.  I am making grilled asperagus, spinach with bacon, and devil eggs.  I am thinking of doing a root vegstable medley but I don't know yet?

Make sure you guys stay safe.

Aloha,
Asia
