Topic: What and how much can you eat?

I really feel that I have gotten off track.....I had my RYN on Sept 8th so I am almost 4 months post op.

Today I ate

Breakfast - 1/2 a protein shake and a fruit and nut granola bar (I know I am not suppose to have it)

Lunch - Chicken breast with chipotle sauce, and a cup of rice (I could only eat about a third, but then ate somemore an hour or so later, and than ate somemore an hour after that...threw away about 1/5 of it)

Dinner - I small slice of pizza

and for a snack tonight I will have a scrambled egg

I screwed up today, royally....hopefully I will do better tomorrow....I know I have to cut back on the carbs, and stop eating so much at one time

My advice is to focus on % of EWL and not the absolute number. You are at the 50% point so -- according to my surgeon's timetable anyway -- you are right on track.

Hello my sweet friend! I see that you are doing FABULOUS! I can't wait to see you!

I have quite a few of those protein bullets if you want them...I can't drink them. I think it is the smell but I couldn't ever get them past my nose! lol

Hope you had a great holiday!!!

congratulations to all the September babies! I am still in shock that I've lost 45 pounds and have about 43 pounds more to lose. I have to admit that I am obsessing a bit over how much I've lost. I keep looking at everyone's weight loss and realize that I've not lost as much as some. Ok, I'm gonna get over that today!

I think I've not been as diligent about getting in my protein. I've tried to get it all from food (and that is really, really hard!) because I hate the taste of the protein drinks and maybe I've eaten more than I should. I finally found a protein that I can stomach - the protein bullets. I take them in one ounce shots and hopefully I'll see better results.

Despite my rantings, I have no regrets and am so thankful for the energy and health issues that I've gotten under control. I'm no longer taking blood pressure meds and for that I am truly grateful.

Any other advice is greatly appreciated. Congrats Y'all!
