Don't feel bad.  I can tolerate almost everything, including sugar.   I don't eat nearly the protein I should eat.  Some days I'm much better than others.  And I don't get the water in either.  It's so hard but I try.  I do take all my vitamins and supplements.

I eat breakfast bars of all kinds all the time.  I'm just too busy.  Some days I can eat quite a bit!  Other days, I just don't feel like eating.

Take one day at a time and do your best.  None of us are perfect.  Give yourself a break.  {{HUGS}}

Topic: RE: Any September Banders here?
Hello! I was banded on 9/18/08 with the Realize band too! I lost 35 lbs prior to surgery (during my 6 month with my PCP) From surgery until the beginning of Jan I have lost an additional 15 lbs since surgery. I have had 3 fills and have 5.2 cc in my band. I was becoming VERY frustrated since November, b/c I hadn't even felt like I had a band after the inital swelling went down. I was still trying to watch what I ate but just couldn't feel any difference in my restriction. Over the holidays I was able to eat wayyyy more than I should have; but all in all, by Jan 6th (my last fill), I was back at the same weight. So I had gone up a few lbs, but right back down... Without the band, I probably would have gained 10 lbs over the holidays, so I was happy with that at least. I went to my Dr on Jan 6th VERY frustrated. Of course he and his nurse stressed the fact that the band is only a tool, doesn't solve everything...etc. BUT, that wasn't my frustration that I wasn't losing weight (I know I was being bad with what I ate, not exercising etc), but I was frustrated b/c I didn't feel ANY difference with the band at that point... And I am super happy to report, they listened!!! He put a larger fill in than he said he normally would...and I have had restriction ever since!! I can eat about 1 cup now...maybe a little more, but that is about it normally. I am sooooo glad I said something and I finally feel this thing.... Still a learning process, no doubt, but I am just thrilled to be well on my way to really making some progress. I have started my exercising plan again, I am doing a couch to 5k program and meeting with a personal trainer tomorrow to get started on resistance training too... I have lost another 8 lbs since Jan 6th. I am super thrilled with everything since my last fill. I really have to watch what I eat, how I eat, chew, etc...but that is exactly what I signed up for. I hope this continues like this and I continue to feel this same way for a long while. So far a total of 58 lbs and counting.... :)

I don't know exactly what you were looking for in a reply post, but hopefully I responded appropriately... Fill me in on your experience thus far...how are things going for you? Looks like you are down quite a bit of weight...all since surgery? preop? Good luck to you...

I eat betw 700-900 calories a day, consisting of mostly protein.  I track everything religiously on The Daily Plate.  My typical day is:

Breakfast
2 eggs or 1/2 c lowfat cottage cheese and 1 cup dry cheerios

Lunch
11-12 size 26-31 per lb shrimp with 1 oz ****tail sauce.

Dinner
3 oz turkey/chicken/pork/salmon - or 5 oz of fish -- tilapia/flounder
1/2 cup broccoli  (can't always finish all of the 2 veg's I plate up)
1/2 cup turnips

1 Snack a day
cheese stick or protein shake or tablespoon smart balance peanut butter on wheat crackers or 1 oz low-fat cheese

I really don't eat any other carbs except the cheerios and vegetables.

I drink about 90 oz of liquid
1 20 oz coffee with milk and 1 splenda
2  liters of watered down crystal light (1 packet per liter water)
I do not drink 1/2 hr before or 1 hr after a meal.

I take all my vitamins EVERYDAY.

I'm exercising 4-5x a week ---- 45 cardio/and some weights

AND YET I REALLY AM LOSING SLOWER THAN ALL THE REST OF THE SEPT SURGERIES.
But I'm really very satisfied and feel really good about my decision.

I am off ALL the diabetes medicine and high blood pressure meds which was the #1 goal for me.

104 lbs lost now Maintenance BABY!!!!

I agree with you 100%.  I just made 4 months last week and I am down 75 lbs, only 25 more to go.  Right now I am almost at a hault but that is ok.  I am still losing inches and the clothing sizes is in the regular people section.  If I don't lose one more pound that is ok however I know that won't happen.  I exercise 5x a week and I am always on my feet when I get home.

I will not go to my old ways it is not an option.

I know that EVERYONE has gone through the dreaded stall but I am here to let you all know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  I am about 4 months out and have had absolutely no complications whatsoever (other than a back ache).   I was recently battling with my very first stall and it lasted what seemed like months, but in actuality was the longest 2 1/2 weeks of my life.  I am one of those that have the obsession with the numbers on the scale.  I know it's a bad thing but I can't help it.    The very first thing I do when I get to work is set my things on the desk, turn the coffee pot on and go straight to the scale.  But today, I am here to tell you, if you continue with your exercise routines, continue to eat right and take those vitamins .... YOU WILL START LOSING AGAIN!!!  Promise!!!  I got on the scale today and I am 3 pounds lighter!!!    I came so close to becoming my old self and start that "emotional eating" where my thoughts were "Hell, I'm not losing weight anyway.  I might as well eat these cheese puffs!"  That's the thought pattern that got me into the trouble of obesity in first place and when I realized that, I snapped out of it and went to the gym and did laps in the pool!!!  I digress...I just wanted to let you other newbies know that patience must be one of your virtues.  I am still learning...Thanks for letting me vent fam!!!  Love ya'll and good luck to you all on your journeys.

Hi , I was banded 9/4/08. I have an Allergan AP 10cc band. I currently have 4cc's in my band. I have had 2 fills and so far I am feeling restriction. I am not super tight, but I don't like being too tight, as I hate the 'stuck' feeling and tend to panic.  I've just bought a scale and am starting to weigh foods so I can have a better idea of how much I am actually eating.

I got it at Jeans Warehouse.  I love the rhinestones.  That was the selling point.
