Topic: First goal reached
When I first started this journey I set just a few goals on my page and I just met the first one.

I can cross my legs, without leveraging them on something, and they don't pop apart!!!

I am almost 50lbs down since I started this one year ago. I am so happy I did this.

I have been eating South Beach diet meals which are pretty good! I do really well when I am home but I travel for my job... so on the road I don't do as well.  I also drink lots of designer whey protein..."grip it good grape" it taste like kool-aid to me!

You can actually go to Thinner Times.  They have some great recipes too.

I really don't know what I am going to do.  I reached a normal BMI yesterday and was so excited.  I bought a new bathing suit.  Hopefully I will have the guts to wear it at the beach.  I already used it at the pool but again nobody was there.  I wanted to get a tramp stamp but the dh don't like that idea so we will see.  Congrats on your new tat.

Aloha,

When I get to a normal BMI, I'm going to go indoor sky diving.

I was going to get my belly button pierced but I found that you can't do that and swim for 6 months after (unless you do all sorts of stuff to protect the piercing and even then it can still get infected). So no belly button piercing for me.

A few days ago, I was visiting with some friends in Atlanta and they asked me what I was going to do to commemorate my almost 100 pound loss.  I got to thinking and came up with something lifelong...I got a tattoo on my upper thigh that reads "BEAUTIFUL" in script.    I figure that this is how I feel now that I have made the life long, healthy change.    I LOVE IT!!  So what have you all done to commemorate your losses?  Anything spectacular or am I the only one?  I doubt it...

be blessed and enjoy being a loser!!!

Topic: IN NEED OF FOOD IDEAS!!!

I had my surgery on September 23rd.... I lost 11 lbs on my clear liquids diet prior to surgery...now down a total of 93 lbs.  BUT I am at a plateau... I have started going to the gym more but I feel that I have gotten off track with the food... SO what I need help with is:   IDEAS!!! Please please please give me some ideas for foods to eat.  I start to eat poorly because I can't think of what to make, nothing sounds good, but nothing tastes bad either (unfortunately).  I know that I am not over eating, just making poor decisions.  I have been eating WAY too many carbs... so I need great protein ideas, and any good carb ideas you all might have.  I want to lose 50 more lbs.  I hope to do it with your help!  THANKS!

Hey all.  Things are moving along a little bit. I finally figured out that my stall is gym related, because I'm lifting AND doing cardio, probably burning more calories than I eat, but muscle building.  Eventually, that muscle has started to burn more, so I'm moving again, but slowly.  My goal is 7 more lbs before my 6 month appointment in 3 weeks.  It's a lot, but....

Thanks for all of the advice.  I've tried a little of everything, especially upping the water and varying my calories day to day.  Hope all of you other September folks are feeling as great as I do!
