I had my pre-op appointment yesterday.  I had bloodwork, an EKG, and a chest x-ray.  My surgery date is 2 weeks away.  I'm terrified something will come back negative and I won't get to have my surgery!!

I got a call yesterday telling me that they are going to schedule surgery on the 9th.  I was like ok October 9th sounds good.  She then tells me no September 9th.  I was in so much shock.  But my answer was yes.  Now I am running all over trying to get prepared.  Soup, Jello, Crystal Lite, SF Pops.  I already have my Protein Powder and magic bullet.  I think I am all set for the the first two weeks.

I am looking for anyone that has used this center for RNY!

Much luck with your surgery as well Perry!!  I am ready for it to be done with for sure.  But not long and we will be on the losers side :) 

I hope that all goes well for you today.  Sending good juju vibes your way for a speedy and uneventful recovery.  My husband must be related somehow to yours.  I am dealing with the same thing.  The thing I have learned though is that I can't change him but I can put people around me who can buffer his behaviors for me.  So my brother and my Dad are coming to take care of me.  Mom is staying home to take care of my daughter.   In-law's are complete asses, so just kick them out.  I have a list of people for the nurses who are allowed to visit me.  I am making it quite clear that I do not want certain people to visit me in the hospital.  I don't need their negativity.
