I haven't been on this site for a very long time. I pray you have fully recovered from the strokes. I also hope you were able to get a hold of the pre surgery diet.
Hello WLS Family,
Nearly 7 yrs ago I started a journey just like you did to change my life and boy has it changed for the best! I lost 202 lbs and over the years gained 18 lbs back. I have no fear and everything is under control. When I realized I needed help, I joined weigh****chers last week losing 5.6 lbs the first week. I have adjusted my goal weight up by 2 lbs, since I am a bit older I don't want to look drawn and tired. With that said my total WL goal will be 16 lbs, which means I have only 10.4 left to go. I can do this..........
Congrats to all of us as we reach the six year mark!! My anniversary was this past Wednesday. 200 pounds lost and remain gone. I still remain diligent. Being obese was a sad lonely place for me and I am not going back there. I am so thankful for my RNY. Life is great.
Here are my before after pics for this year. I do a side by side every year. My goal jeans still fit

I didn't realize until this morning that yesterday was my 6th year out. I'm doing well. Still practicing the habits I was told to do in the beginning...of course, there's been a few times of still overeating and eating the wrong foods but overall, I can truly say that having WLS was one of the best decisions of my life. I feel better, I look better and I am MUCH better!

Under Goal
Hi Laura!
My surgery date was 9/2/2008 and it's been a journey Very rewarding. Today, I'm still practicing what my doctor taught - I've gained weight a couple of times but been pretty steady for the last couple of years. Currently, under 16 pounds under goal. Very very thankful!
My life has changed drastically - do you still attend support meetings? I'm in Florida and they are few and far between.
All is well with me. My surgery was 9/17/2008. I have kept off all 200 pounds which is unbelievable when I think about it. I finally think of myself as average size. The first few years I did still see the fat me. Now I see myself as normal. The mental part has been the toughest but it has gotten a lot easier for me. Still thankful everyday for my second chance at life. I am determined NOT to screw it up.

It works - the 5-Day Pouch Test...A couple of years ago had major stress...gained 29 lbs...Went back to basics and lost the extra weight plus couple extra pounds....Go for it!
