2 Year Anniversary

Hello Everyone!

Today is my 2 yr anniversary!  Very happy and pleased with my progress thus far.  It has been a wonderful journey -- I am SO GRATEFUL because:

* The surgery SAVED my life
* The surgery GAVE me a NEW life
*  My life has COMPLETELY turned around
*  I can NOW get on the floor and play with my 6yr old 
*  Food is NO LONGER my focus or crutch

Highest Weight = 206 lbs.
Surgery Weight = 185.6 lbs.
Current Weight = 116.2 lbs.
Goal Weight = 130 lbs. (5'1")

I really can't believe it has been two years.  I have a hard time remembering that I carried around 173 lbs extra . . . Life is so much easier.  So much less paranoia . . . I am still surprised to be able to easily negotiate a restaurant, get into a booth, fit into an airline seat, hike 2 hours without being exhausted or sore and buy clothes cause I like them. 

Yet, I worry everyday about eating habits.  I seem to be able to eat "normally".  And, sometimes I seem to eat more than my thin partner.  The tool works but sometimes my choices are less than ideal.  SCARES ME!

Didn't the time go by really fast!  I know what you mean when you say you still worry about eating habits - I'm terrified of gaining weight.  I am doing pretty good with everything so far - every now and then I struggle with the vitamins and calcium - how about you?

I am fearful I have gained a few pounds after a year at the same weight.  I am a bit lax about being careful of food choices and grazing.  A little too much alcohol and sugar . . . But, I still journal everything, exercise frequently and mostly eat my protein first.

That is one of my biggest fears as well - gaining weight.  I walk all day - every day on my job so I don't work out and I do not journal (except in the beginning) - I graze and eat at not so good times - do I understand.  I think the only thing helping me is that since i walk so much daily that is why I'm able to maintain my current weight - but at my expense (bad habits which will hurt in the long run.)  I do maintain the recommended daily protein intake, vitamins, calcium as well as with H20.
