for way too long.  I am in a stall.  Like, a bad one.  Like, I feel that perhaps after just under 60lbs of loss, I'm done.  I've been battling the same 3 lbs since Dec. 4.  Yes, I starting doing more weight lifting, so that could be it.  Yes, I find I can eat more if I let myself, so that could be it.  But I'm doing at least 300 calories of cardio A DAY and eating less than 800 a day....so what the heck???

Yes, I'm discouraged but more than encouragement, I need advice.  What do I do???

How is your protein and water intake.  I notice that if I have low protein and water I don't lose any.  Those time that I don't lose anything for a week or so I up them and get 4 lbs lost.  Try it, it may work.  Everyone is different you just have to find out what works for you.  Lately I been losing 1 lb a week then this last week I lost 6.  I been eating 3X a day and getting in 2 protein drinks.

Good luck

What works for me:

Exercise at least 4x a week for at least 30 min.
Drink lots of water (more than the minimal 64 oz.)
Eat lots of protein (more than the minimal 70 g)
Keep carbs under 40 g
Mix things up -- have a really low calorie day and a higher calorie day each week (I don't actually do this on purpose, it just kind of happens.) -- don't do the same exercises all the time -- etc.

I can really relate to your situation --- except you've made it to 60 lbs ---- I hovering at 50 and have been forever.   I really do everything right.  Keep track of everything on the daily plate.  Eat betw 700-900 calories a day, betw 65-85 g of protein, drink about 90 oz a day, workout a min of 30 minutes 4-5 times a week, eat absolutely NO "bad" carbs.  My %'s are usually about 50% protein, 25% carb and 25% fat.    I did read something earlier tonight that gave me hope.  I was heavy but had muscle.  Somebody wrote in another post that by losing slower we are maintaining that muscle --- and hopefully adding to it.  I have gone from an 18-20 to a 14 mostly, few 12s.   I'm not giving up.  I really believe this will work.  I went to the Dr for 4 month post op on 1/14 and had lost 49 lbs.  My DR thought that was perfect --- betw 10-15 first month and then average 8-10 after that.   I am just going to continue on this journey and not give up ---- don't you either.

104 lbs lost now Maintenance BABY!!!!

Hey all.  Things are moving along a little bit. I finally figured out that my stall is gym related, because I'm lifting AND doing cardio, probably burning more calories than I eat, but muscle building.  Eventually, that muscle has started to burn more, so I'm moving again, but slowly.  My goal is 7 more lbs before my 6 month appointment in 3 weeks.  It's a lot, but....

Thanks for all of the advice.  I've tried a little of everything, especially upping the water and varying my calories day to day.  Hope all of you other September folks are feeling as great as I do!
