I really feel that I have gotten off track.....I had my RYN on Sept 8th so I am almost 4 months post op.

Today I ate

Breakfast - 1/2 a protein shake and a fruit and nut granola bar (I know I am not suppose to have it)

Lunch - Chicken breast with chipotle sauce, and a cup of rice (I could only eat about a third, but then ate somemore an hour or so later, and than ate somemore an hour after that...threw away about 1/5 of it)

Dinner - I small slice of pizza

and for a snack tonight I will have a scrambled egg

I screwed up today, royally....hopefully I will do better tomorrow....I know I have to cut back on the carbs, and stop eating so much at one time

I can eat 3-4 oz. at a time but more if it's something like yogurt.

You are eating a lot of carbs compared to what I'm allowed. Does your program recommend that many?

My program was to eat a min of 50 grams of protein and around 800 calories a day.   I know I ate way too many carbs yesterday....I know I really have to work harder at my eating program, somedays are just harder for me than others especially since the holidays.....

IME eating carbs make you crave them so when I need to get back on track, I concentrate on protein.

It works like a charm!

I really need HELP.  I was banded on 9/24/08 and have only lost 21 lbs.  I don't know what you mean by following your "program" - I don't have a program and that's probably why I'm not doing well.  Also, I have a very cautious doctor and have only had one fill since my banding.  Can you give me any suggestions?

I did do a little better the last few days, not eating so many carbs, and getting in protien...so hoping it will make a difference in my weight

I wish you well.... carbs are tough. I find mine creeping up as I can eat more.

Hey, I wish more people would post in this thread so we can see how much and what others are eating at around 3-4 months. Come on, guys, jump in!

I eat betw 700-900 calories a day, consisting of mostly protein.  I track everything religiously on The Daily Plate.  My typical day is:

Breakfast
2 eggs or 1/2 c lowfat cottage cheese and 1 cup dry cheerios

Lunch
11-12 size 26-31 per lb shrimp with 1 oz ****tail sauce.

Dinner
3 oz turkey/chicken/pork/salmon - or 5 oz of fish -- tilapia/flounder
1/2 cup broccoli  (can't always finish all of the 2 veg's I plate up)
1/2 cup turnips

1 Snack a day
cheese stick or protein shake or tablespoon smart balance peanut butter on wheat crackers or 1 oz low-fat cheese

I really don't eat any other carbs except the cheerios and vegetables.

I drink about 90 oz of liquid
1 20 oz coffee with milk and 1 splenda
2  liters of watered down crystal light (1 packet per liter water)
I do not drink 1/2 hr before or 1 hr after a meal.

I take all my vitamins EVERYDAY.

I'm exercising 4-5x a week ---- 45 cardio/and some weights

AND YET I REALLY AM LOSING SLOWER THAN ALL THE REST OF THE SEPT SURGERIES.
But I'm really very satisfied and feel really good about my decision.

I am off ALL the diabetes medicine and high blood pressure meds which was the #1 goal for me.

104 lbs lost now Maintenance BABY!!!!

Don't feel bad.  I can tolerate almost everything, including sugar.   I don't eat nearly the protein I should eat.  Some days I'm much better than others.  And I don't get the water in either.  It's so hard but I try.  I do take all my vitamins and supplements.

I eat breakfast bars of all kinds all the time.  I'm just too busy.  Some days I can eat quite a bit!  Other days, I just don't feel like eating.

Take one day at a time and do your best.  None of us are perfect.  Give yourself a break.  {{HUGS}}

I have tried really hard to do better with what I am eating....Today I had a Carb Control Protien Shake with 27 Grams of Protien....  I Had a few green grapes, a slice of provolone cheese and some grilled chicken for lunch...for dinner I had a boneless pork chop and some saurkraut.  For a snack I had some cashews.....  So right now, I am right where I want to be with my calories, and protien.  I have FINALLY gotten to 188 lbs (70 lbs lost since surgery)  but still need to work HARD to get my water, because I still don't drink enough of anything!!!!
