How are you doing (September Surgeries)???
Here is a little bit about me-
I had my surgery September 18th. I have lost 26 lb since surgery but have been on a terrible plateau for at least 2 weeks now. I think my body is rebelling and hanging on despite the fact that I have followed my food plan really well. I chart my food daily on the "daily plate". I love it. I think I could get more protein and maybe more calories. I am averaging 55 grams of protein and 673 calories per day. This is an average of the past 7 days. 2 days I got up to 800 cal. I am wondering how many calories everyone else is eating? I know I am what many consider a light weight, so I feel sacred to add too many calories until I really get into the exercise. I know this is my missing component. My goal is to get committed after I get back from a road trip next week.
I am driving 12 hours with 6 other girls (family members) to my sister's baby shower in Utah (she is having twin boys). I will be fine, but I am starting to freak out about being on such a long trip in the car! I am planning to bring a ice chest with healthy choices and I know I will have no choice but to eat right or I will dump out in the desert! Not a good thing! But, still... I wonder how hard it is going to be trapped in a car with everyone else eating fast food and junk food. Hopefully it will repulse me! Wish me luck!
I am open to suggestions and would love to hear about each of you and how you are doing. I update my blog fairly often for myself & so I can remember this all someday. Plus I want to be able to help out others in the future when I am a WLS graduate.
Take care and I hope to hear from lots of you!
I will update you all after I get back from my trip next week. I am leaving at 5am on Thursday!

I had surgery on the 22nd, and I have lost thirty eight pounds since surgery..and I had lost 14 before surgery. I, too, hit a terrible stall, it was just going up and down...but Monday the scale started moving again. I swear, I saw the surgeon and the nutritionist and Stall Hit. It was like my body said -- OH STOP after hearing their voices. But the stall lasted two weeks..so hopefully yours will end soon.
I am doing well on mushies..although I can't wait to start adding real food. I was supposed to go to my surgeon last Monday (the other day) but he had to reschedule, so that meant another week of mushie. I meet with the nutritionist today for my one month follow up (a little late). I am hoping to see I lost a few inches while on this stupid stall.
I am getting in plenty of protein, and I love the feeling of control. If I don't want any more I throw it out. I want to start going to the gym and walking the treadmill...to help speed up this weight loss. I really want to make the best of the first six months.
I can't wait to see how others are doing!
14 pounds lost before surgery. My first ticker is when I hit onderland: this was my goal when I started on this journey. I want to focus on that right now...once I get there I can reevaluate.
My second ticker is my dream goal. Even if I only visit there for a short time, it would be nice to see that number just once. I am pretty sure I'll need plastics to hit this goal.
Hi Kids,
I had my surgery on 9/12 and have lost 10 lbs pre op and 35 post for a total of 45.
I, too have been stalled for at least 2 weeks now and I'm tired of it, lol
Don't think I eat enough, I barely make 500 calories and I believe I should be eating 700. I just can't do it, no matter what I eat, I don't get higher.
I've been totally constipated forever and I think that has something to do about it, so now taking laxatives to get things moving and I feel a bit better now.
But I haven't had any issues, like dumping... I've vomited 2x I believe due to not chewing my food completely. Lesson learned.
I DO think I'm losing inches though, which is odd, my clothes are just hanging on me now, lol
But just wanted to check in as well :)

I am having a hard time staying motivated to excercise. I go to excercise call every Wednesday night however the rest of the week I will just walk at lunch. I start my PT job next week so it is a stand up job where I stay moving. I hope that qualifys for excercise.
I will check in tomorrow to let you all know how I did.

Still struggling with the protein and water, but I'm a bit more diligent now since I had to deal with a kidney stone last week. My NUT said it was probably because I'm drinking a lot less than I did pre-surgery. Now that I'm feeling better, Monday is my return to the gym. My dr. said that anything that doesn't feel bad is good for me to do, so I'll be back on the elliptical etc!
Here's a weird one: I got my period the day after surgery (adding insult to injury) and I haven't had one since. Not a single possible chance of preggers - has anyone else not had a cycle? Just want to hear things like "You're not broken!"
Again, I'm so glad to have found this group of Samurai and I hope you'll continue to share your trials, joys, etc. It's all just so new, isn't it???

I've been eating between 600 - 700 calories a day, with a target of 60g protein a day and going to the gym 5 days a week. 30-45 min treadmill/ 15 min weights. I am really struggling to get all my liquids in. I'm only getting in 48-56 oz a day. But I'm really working on it. Today I should hit 64. I'm also stuggling with a routin with my vitamins. I always get my multi's in first thing in the morning but it's the others throughout the day that I really need to get more steady with.
Glad to see you guys are all doing so well.
