HELP...CAN ANYONE EAT AS MUCH AS ME!!!! SCARED...A LIL BIT!
OK, I KNOW I HAVE COMPLAINED A COUPLE OF TIMES REGARDING MY EATING HABITS, BUT THIS IS GETTING SERIOUS!
I DONT EAT MUCH, BUT WHEN I DO EAT, I EAT WELL! I MEAN, IF IM EATING SOME MASHED YAMS, I CAN EAT MAJORITY OF IT, NOT AT ONE TIME, BUT I GET IT DOWN WITHIN A HOUR....I CAN EAT AT LEAST 60% OF MY FOOD WITHOUT LIQUIDS!!! NOW, LET ME SAY THIS...I DON'T EAT FOR THE REST OF THE DAY IF I ATE MASHED YAMS, BUT IT BOTHERS ME THAT I EAT SO MUCH! I DO GET THAT "FULL" FEELING, BUT THATS AFTER I HAVE EATIN' 60% OF THE MEAL!!!
SHOULD I BE WORRIED??? NOT REALLY WORRIED, BUT CONCERNED? I HAVE A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT ON SEPTEMBER 27TH, BUT I CANT WAIT THAT LONG FOR SOME SORT OF ADVISE! PLEASE HELP...ALL SUGGESTIONS ARE GOOD SUGGESTIONS! THANKS

I don't know what your NUT tells you but mine told me that if you are not done eating in 30 minutes stop and that is all you are going to eat. Almost always I am done if 15 minutes. I always measure or weigh my food. I only eat 2 oz of food or 1/2 cup. Now when I say done it doesn't mean that I finished it. It just means that I am so full like Thanksgiving full.
I only eat things high in protein except for canned asperagus. I love that stuff. Because I live in Hawaii there is good high protein foods here that are awesome. I eat shrimp and raw fish almost everyday. I love pork tofu. This is mostly what I eat. Sometimes I have refried beans but it ain't my favorite. I only eat things that I love.

Hi all, I'm new to boards. Wish I had found these PRIOR to my surgery.
I too feel like I can eat pureed foods endlessly, but I stick with 4 oz and have only eaten protein and dry Cheerios for breakfast. I had my surgery on 9/8 RNY. I feel I'm eating too much too and my weight loss totally stopped about 3 weeks ago --- I lost 10 pds first week, 15 next 3 weeks and then nothing for last 3 weeks . . . I don't understand why. I started an official exercise program last week --- 3 x a week.

Remember soft foods like potatoes, yogart, and such are SLIDDER foods, meaning they slip through your pouch really easy and don't leave a full feeling cause not much is there. This is where alot of people on out can gain back on. Your continuous snacking on soft foods. It is important to learn to eat dense, ie: meat or heavy beans first before anything. This is your protein and it will stick with you longer.
