And I'm starting to get hunger pains!!!!!

I don't know if it is "head" hunger or not, but I'm scared!

I lost all of 1 lb this week, which makes I think 43 (see ticker, I can't recall) since late June.

I'm just scared it's stopped working.

Has anyone else had a stall at this point in the game??

I have experienced the same thing this week. I started out losing really fast, but in the last few days the scale has barely budged. The dietician I talked to today said not to worry about it and that this is normal. That we will sometimes go through spurts with the weight loss. So I guess we just keep going with what we are supposed to be doing and it will work! Good luck!

YES, YES, YES!!!! I HAVE STALLED ALREADY AND I HAD MY SURGERY ON SEPTEMBER 25TH!!! JUST KEEP DRINKING WATER, YOUR PROTEIN SHAKES AND TRY NOT TO WEIGH YOURSELF EXCEPT FOR ONCE A WEEK. I KNOW  SOOOOO MANY PEOPLE WHO HAS HAD RNY AND I MUST SAY, EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. PLEASE REMEMBER....EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT, SO ITS DIFFICULT TO COMPARE. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, DUE TO YOUR BODY NOT EATING THE SAME TYPES OF FOOD THAT YOU USE TO EAT OR EAT AS MUCH AS YOU USE TO, YOUR BODY ABSORBS EVERYTHING IT PUTS INSIDE OF IT. THIS IS WHY YOUR PROTEIN INTAKE IS SOOOOOO IMPORTANT. JUST TRY TO FOCUS YOUR ATTENTION ON ENJOYING LIFE, NOT YOUR WEIGHT. THE WEIGHT WILL FALL OFF BEFORE YOU KNOW IT!!!! IM JUST LIKE YOU, SO I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND YOUR WORRY. WE WANT INSTANT GRATIFICATION....I GET IT. BUT GET OVER THE HUMP AND ONCE YOU DO, ITS ALL DOWN HILL FROM THERE!!! SEE YOU AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!

I recently read on the main board that it is very common to stall at three weeks and then again around three months.
Although it's really hard, I only weigh myself every Tuesday  (which was the day of my surgery).  I think it' gives me a truer picture - but this is just a personal choice.
Good luck ! Sandi

Maybe you have to we more dence protein to keep you fuller.  I know that when I am at work it is actual hunger but when I get home it is head hunger because I want to just sit on the couch and snack.  I really try not to.  Normally I have 3 meals a day however yesterday I had 4.  I don't eat carbs at all it is all protein.  My extra meal was a few slices of beef jerky.  Not bad at all.

As for your stall this is what I got at another post:

This early "stall" happens for biological reasons. This explanation is courtesy of Diana Cox:

Our bodies use glycogen for short term energy storage. Glycogen is not very soluble, but it is stored in our muscles for quick energy -- one pound of glycogen requires 4 lbs of water to keep it soluble, and the average glycogen storage capacity is about 2 lbs. So, when you are not getting in enough food, your body turns first to stored glycogen, which is easy to break down for energy. And when you use up 2 lbs of glycogen, you also lose 8 lbs of water that was used to store it -- voila -- the "easy" 10 lbs that most people lose in the first week of a diet.

As you stay in caloric deficit, however, your body starts to realize that this is not a short term problem. You start mobilizing fat from your adipose tissue and burning fat for energy. But your body also realizes that fat can't be used for short bursts of energy -- like, to outrun a sabertooth tiger. So, it starts converting some of the fat into glycogen, and rebuilding the glycogen stores. And as it puts back the 2 lbs of glycogen into the muscle, 8 lbs of water has to be stored with it to keep it soluble. So, even though you might still be LOSING energy content to your body, your weight will not go down or you might even GAIN for a while as you retain water to dissolve the glycogen that is being reformed and stored.

I had to read this about 3 times to actually understand it however it really make sence.

Keep up your good work on your weightloss.

It's really common not to lose a lot as you progress from liquids to mushies or mushies to regular food. I don't know why. But everyone is always saying it happened to them.

I think I'm going to be lucky because I did okay week 3 (the most common week to stall) but then I lost almost nothing the first week so maybe that's why.
