Sorry, I don't.  But if it persists, please call your doctor.  Any fever? Good luck, sandi (i had my rny the same day).

Hi Melissa,

I had my Lap RNY on September 24th. I was told before surgery to expect pain in my left side, because that is where the majority of the work is done. I have had quite a bit of discomfort in that area and cannot lie on that side, but I have not been concerned that it is unusual.

But, as always, if you have questions, call your doctor!

Maureen :-)

Did you have a hiatal hernia repaired? I did and I got quite a bit of back pain from it. My doc said to expect it.

It's just now going away at 2 weeks out.

I had the same thing for about 3 weeks. At times it was unbearble, but it does go away! 'hang in there and make sure you are not trying to do to much.

I had my band on the 30th as well.  It is gas.  Use gas X strips and drink water.  Walk and drink.  the more you move around the better.  It goes away.  Don't forget they blow up your body with air so they can work.  That air has to work it's way out.

Mine is gone now but once in a while it will strike again.
