Sept. 24thers
Yesterday was a big appointment for me. A few hours about how you can die and then some lab work and and EKG. Tomarrow I meet with the surgeon after a GB US.
The problem is I got a copy of my labs and my Iron is low. I am worried I will be canceled. I know it is related to TOM so I am not worried. Any one else have low Iron?

I've always had a problem with low Iron and my surgery has still been scheduled. My surgeon knows about it so I don't think it presents a problem especially since I'm taking 2 iron supplements daily and have been for at least 2 months.
My actual birthday is September 11, but on September 24, I will be re-born!!

Hey! Just wanted to pop in and say that as of Friday, I, too, am a Sept. 24ther! YAY! We should all stick together and share what goes on with one another, then meet on our anniversary for HUGS!!! I'm looking forward to my surgery, but do have hesitations... I guess it's just the general fear of the whole change of lifestyle for me...
Don't worry about your iron being low on your lab work. This can change daily w/ lab work. Just be sure to get those vitamins in and be sure to use one w/ some extra iron if you tend to have this frequently. I use the Target brand of pre-natal vitamins because they are the only ones that do not make my stomach hurt, AND they have WONDERFUL amounts of all of the good stuff we need in our female bodies (sorry, guys! ha!)... Also remember that if you take an iron supplement alone that it CAN/MAY cause constipation (which I'm sure you are not having to worry about on this lovely liquid diet), and if you experience this, you can take an over the counter stool softener called COLASE. My advice is solid, I promise, however, be sure to speak with your doc to see what they recommend for you; that's always the best.
Anyway, hang in there, and I look forward to hearing back from you ALL!!!
