Hi everyone. I just thought you might like to know what's doing. I had a very successfull RNY Tuesday the 9th though I stayed at the hospital a couple extra days due to trouble with nausea, etc. Dr. Garren at UW Wisconsin really rocks! He let me stay until I was able to do what needed done. The pain was manageable, Meriter's nurses all wonerful. I happily wobbled my way home Friday night and relaxed,(sipping and walkies of course-LOL) on my mountain of pillows. Saturday the pain became much worse. I was pale and felt really yucky. Temp was 99F, no big. Saturday night, I didn't sleep, the pain was getting much worse and temp was 100. I thought it wasn't a real problem cause I was staying hydrated and all. That afternoon, temp was up to 101.5 and stayed put till night. Pain was incredible. I got so dizzy I thought I'd pass out every time I stood. By nine pm I had to prep for exploratory Laprascopic . In at 10:30pm out at 11:30. My second recovery was harder. Ihad some old blood in my colon that was making me so sick- whodathunk it. We prepare for everything else. Oh well. Dr. Garren rocks a second encore performance, and I am finally home again. Sorry. I don't mean to drone on but typing is about the onlt thing that doesn't hurt. Just thought I'd keep you all up. God bless you all.

WOW!!!! You certainly had a difficult road. I work with a girl who had a similar experience and had to be operated on a second time. She said it was a blip in her recovery, and I hope that is the same for you.  I'll be reading how you are doing...my surgery is scheduled for 9/30, so I am very interested in the recovery process.
