Hello,
I'm 11 days out and am wondering if several things are normal. I still feel like I need to burp most of the time, but not as much as the first week. And surprise diarreha is no fun. will that get better when I get to eat more solid food? I'd walk more outside if it was more controllable.

Hi There,
I'm 10 days out and I experience hiccuping , usually after I eat my mushy food.  I think it is my body's way of saying it's full.  I don't burp much at all.  No diarreha at all, lucky me...Hopefully your bowel problems will sort itself out and then you will be able to truck outside.....I go for a short walk everyday.  Best wishes for you on a speedy recovery

hi guys,,, i had hicupping at various times during the day.. eat slowly and be conscious of how much air you are swollowing. my dr. was concerned only if this would happen right after i ate. (never did) so you may want to talk to your dr.

i did have burping while i was drinking though (again usually just another air issue. once i learned how much i could swallow at one time (liquid) and not get in trouble burping stopped)

and for stools. when i started eating more real foods. they normalized. and i'm actually tipping towards having a harder time with it. (i eat a lot of cheese thought lol. ) i didn't so much have diarreha. but the sudden. OMG i gotta go and like now.. but it was mostly very very soft.

so that's about all the insight i have into the gastrointestinal issues you've mentioned lol.

thanks! I go to the doctor this morning, so I can address these issues. Maybe I just anm having trouble keeping my sips small enough. anybody use a toddler sippy cup? and does it work? I'm tempted to get a babyfood dish that will keep my food hot. I sure am tired of liquids! 3 more days! any hints for the transition to soft foods?

i wouldn't go the sippy cup route. too much air.
cheese was really tollerable (continues to be a main staple.) eggs i do well with.

Hi Carole,
I had my RNY on sept. 2nd and I'm down 12 pounds so far...I burp too don't worry it's just air when we drink our liquids...as far as the diareha that will stop as soon as you add cottage cheese or any soft cheese and believe me it taste so good...I was put on stage 4 already
so eggs for breakfast tomorrow and fish for dinner...I'm going to keep the protien drinks in for the protien...cause we are eatting such a small amount... I started walking 1 mile a day now I'm up to two already...I just want this weight off for good...
Best Wishes and congrats to you...Hugs Des
