Surgery might be cancelled!!

I live in Houston and we were hit hard by Hurricane Ike.  2 million people are without power.  The med center still has power, but my surgery might have to be postponed.  My doctor is so wonderful.  I e-mailed him yesterday after the storm passed and he replied today.  He thinks surgeries will be cancelled for Tuesday, but Wednesday is up in the air right now.  If you are the praying type, please pray that I get my surgery on Wednesday or that is can be rescheduled SOON!!!!!!  The liquid diet is killing me and if I have to be on it any longer I'll go CRAZY!!!!!!!  Thanks for listening.

I will pray for you.  Not sure about my surgery too.  My pre-op is Tuesday.  That is not going to happen, so I will wait to hear.

Laura and War Eagle, You are Definitely getting prayers sent out for you. If it gets postponed....remember....there are reasons beyond what we know in the ultimate plan. Trust the process to get you through the entire procedure and recovery period safe and healthy. I'm scheduled for tomorrow and  feel like I'm walking a tightrope while holding my breath. I just want to go to bed so that it can be tomorrow already!!!!! But in the back of my mind is that feeling...are they going to find out something and delay or cancel me? I am just trusting that what is meant to happen will happen. So, keep the faith, and see you on the other side!!!!!!

Hi Laura, I hope you get this soon because I'd love to talk to you.  I'm in the exact same position as you - I'm having surgery with Dr. Garth Davis tomorrow morning also!  I spoke to him this morning and he said that we'll probably have it.  What time are you supposed to be there and what time is your surgery scheduled for?  I'm hopeful that they'll allow these surgeries.  I, too, couldn't stand the two week shake stuff and would hate to think that it was a waste or that I would have to do it again.  Have you done the magnesium citrate?  I'm definitely praying for both of us that this works out.
