what other liquids can we drink other than soup and water?
I'm assuming you had a gastric bypass? Not sure, but I think its really up to your surgeon. Did you call? I know they'd be happy to answer that question.
My own personal experience is that Yes, I am able to have milk in my first week. I think you can have DECAF coffee - the caffeine dehydrates you, so maybe try that as an alternative. I am also allowed to have splenda. In fact I was given it to flavor my tea in the hospital.
Hope that helps a little. I am posting a new 'liquid' recipe after posting this comment... check it out on this same board.

JULES :)
I had skim milk yesterday with Syntha-6 Mochaccino. Let me tell you this was sooooo sooo good. I was like this is fantanstic. My DD wanted a sip so I let her and she drank more than half. I was kind of glad she did because I was full already. I only made 4 oz but 2 oz was more than enough. For lunch today I had cream of mushroom with skim milk, strained that was good too. My baby DD wanted my soup too. I drank 1/2 cup in 30 minutes. Mine was cold too at the end. Try the activia vanilla lite low fat I took 2 oz and of course my dd had about an oz but an oz was really all i needed. Happy eating!!!
