I was worried about you. I am glad you are doing well. Keep walking and sipping. We did it, we actually did it. Aloha, Asia

I was so glad to see your post but sorry you're still in pain.  I'm still praying for you.  The worst is behind you....just take it one day, one hour at a time.  By this time next week, you'll probably be feeling a lot better.
Glad you're home.  Go rest!!!!

My surgery was Wednesday and I still hurt, mostly in my back.   I am hoping it will be better in a few days.  That liquid pain medicine is nasty!!!

You are sure right about the liquid pain medicine.  I have only used it about 3 times.  Maybe just twice it is nasty.

thanks everyone ...the med they gave me are horse size pills  .i have to brake them down to swallow them and every once in  awhile they get caught and that mean there is only one way to get them out ,,,, so when i cough them out i'm in so much more pain .. but i am feeling better starting to hold down more liquids so that a good thing .. can't wait to the pain is gone that way i can start moveing  around on my own ... but no matter what i'm still glad i did this because the pain will only last for so long but the health after life will the the greatest gift...

honey... OMG didn't they suggest you CRUSH your pills and dilute them into a liquid??  It tastes simply AWFUL, but it is so much more tolerable than trying to swallow jagged hunks.  I bought a simple pill crusher at wal-mart and it works wonders.   My surgeon won't let me swallow any sized pills for 2 months!

I ended up going back to the hospital less than 24 hrs after my homecoming.  I had severe swelling that kept ANYTHNG - even water - from getting past my pouch!  I had to stay an additional 3 days to get through that ordeal and it was NO fun!!

Anyway, its been 3 days since returning and I'm feeling so good now.  The soreness is getting less and less and I am able to tolerate more and more varieties of liquids into my diet.  I hope by the time I read an update from you tomorrow that you are feeling much better too.

My thoughts are with you!!! GET BETTER SOON!!   ~Jules
