I am home from having my surgery.  I am feeling o.k. just a bit tender and tired.  It is really important to stay hydrated....so sip, sip, sip your little heart out and walk walk walk because trust me it will get things moving and you will feel better.  I'll save you all a seat on the loser's bench and it will be cosy,,,,,good luck.

Hugs

Theresa,

Sounds like your doing great and that positive attitude of yours will make each day even better.  My surgery was 8/28 and at 10 days post op I feel wonderful.  My family is stunned by my speedy recovery and how well things have went this past week and a 1/2.

Glad to hear your surgery went well also. Mine was just two days prior to yours on 9/2. I too am still sore and tire easily, but I'm doing much better than anticipated. I went to church yesterday and amazed people that I was there just 5 days after surgery.
I do find it difficult to constantly sip fluids and try to get in the necessary protein requirements, but I am trying.
I'll wait until this afternoon to see the the doctor's scale actually says, but I'm pretty sure I'm down about 10 pounds or so.

Blessings!

A big thanks to everyone who's posted so far on this thread. My surgery is one week from today and I need all the encouragement and tales of success I can get. You're an inspiration!

Today is my three week anniversary, and I'm down 25 lbs.  I had my surgery on a Monday, and on Saturday I was at Walmart getting groceries, so I think 99% of it is mental.  I see things I can't eat, but then I get on the scale and I'm down a pound or two a day, and it just kinda makes up for it.  The surgery is hard for a couple of days, but like anything else, it's only a memory.  Best of luck to all of you who are waiting...

Great to hear from you thank you for letting us know how it went and how well you are doing.
It is an encouragment fr all of us that have yet to have surgery.  Keep the losers bench warm for us.  Might want to put on an addition while you are at it.

Welcome home Theresa!  Sorry - I know you've been home for a bit, but I haven't been on lately.  Glad to hear that you are doing so amazingly well - but you have the perfect mindset so of course you are!!!  My surgery is about 2 1/2 weeks away.  Can't wait!  Cheers~Sandi~
