Sept. 15th

OK - a few more days - and the stress level is pretty high. Sleep - I either can't at all or feel I will forever. I am having trouble talking with anyone at home because they don't understand the changes or fears. My husband has never been heavy and doesn't get what it took for me to do this. I think he believes it won't be a big change. My coworkers don't know and are wondering why I'll be out. I don't feel comfortable telling them as my 3 friends I told had strong negative reactions and I don't think I could handle anyone else making comments. This site has been very helpful. Reading what everyone else has written makes me feel not so alone in the process. Thanks for all the honesty in your posts! Good luck everyone...

Romona, I know just how you feel. I was just telling my Mom that I'm not really stressed about the surgery itself, but I am worried that I'll go through all of this and I'll still be where I am right now... fat and unable to move. All we can really do is come here to voice our fears, read others stories and solutions, and know we are going to succeed.

Just one more Saturday. Just one more Sunday.  We're almost there, people!! I'll be sending out prayers and good wishes to all my fellow RNY'ers who are having their procedures on Monday. I feel a lot less lonely knowing you all are going through the same experience. Let's be sure and post back as soon as we're able!

Woohoo!! It is just about here!!  I as well will be thinking of all of you.  I will not be home until next Saturday at the very earliest if everything goes alright, since I have to stay in a hotel for 2 extra days after being discharged, incase I have any problems, because I am so far away from anyone who specializes in this surgery.  But I for sure will check in when I can after I get home.   Tomorrow I start my 2 day liquid diet.  I have plenty of popsicles and just made some jello up this afternoon.  Tonite I will feast on homemade pizza and bday cake.   Best of luck to each and every one of you!!!
