Hello.
I am new to the site and recently underwent my lap ban surgery on 8/29. So far everything is going well. I feel pretty good and I am really excited about the possibilites. My only concern is that I really do not feel very different. Maybe that shouldn't be a concern, at all.
Is there anyone who is willing to share thier experience the first few weeks post op?
Thanks!

When I was in the decision making process about what surgery I wanted they said that they do not adjust the band for 6 weeks after surgery so as to give the stomache a chance to heal from the procedure. So you probably would not feel a whole lot different until after your first fill.
Good luck,
Judy

Welcome, Jenny!
My experience was that I was stringent on my post op diet, liquids, then mushies for several weeks, but it was hard. It wasn't until after my first fill (at least 2 months post op) that I started feeling any satiety eating those small amounts of food. I've heard from several long time banders that once you reach that "sweet spot" of restriction, you will definitely feel different.
Congrats! Welcome to the "loser's bench". Have you been monitoring or are you brand new to the blogs?
