1 week to go

Hello. I'm new to the forum type of communication, and I just sent a message off somewhere...I'm trying again..My surgery is next Monday and I'm looking for a place to go to share experiences and ideas. This seems like a great place. Are there many others on here that have an upcoming surgery date and are a bit nervous like me?? Lo

I think that I am overly anxious!  I am still waiting for the Drs office to call and say that I am approved.  I just left a message with the secratary about 2 minutes ago.  This is an awesome place to be, if you want to learn more things and get more ideas.  I find it very helpful for me!

Hello! You are my first responder..So exciting to wake up to find that..Thanks. I saw your pictures and read your blogs (I think they are called that) . Your daughter is beautiful. I am 43 and have two almost adult sons now. So, when you get your approval phone call, how long till the surgery? I go for pre op today, an echo tomorrow (I took fen phen and it's a requirement to get this test I guess) and a 4 hour nutrition cram session on Thursday...then I  have 3 nights to ponder over life :)  Lo

Hi my surgery is on Monday the 8h too.I am way beyond a bit nervous I have never had surgery so that is what I am fearful of. I have done tons of research and I feel good about post op care and my diet, it is just the actual surgery that I  am worried about.   I konw you will finds tons of help on OH. Hi Kristi. Well, good luck to you too! Ya, I'm worried I'll wake up during the surgery or something like that..I know the anesthesiologist is there to NOT let that happen, but I've never been put to sleep before...yikes! OK, keep in touch...Lo

congratulation on your date and welcome .... I'm having my surgery on Tuesday the 9 and i have had surgery before but with this one i started to have some crazy dreams ... which i do not like but i have faith in my doctor and my family and Friend are keeping me on the positive side thankfully ... but i still have the ups and down of emotion and fears ...  But it is nice to come on here a see that i'm not alone and i have people to talk to ....

Thanks for responding. I am excited more than nervous I think...and I've always had crazy dreams!! Although my cpap maching made them go away for the most part. Well, we have less than a week to go!! take care!

Hi YHampton, I see that your date is on the 9th.  Mine is on the 10th and I have been experiencing some crazy dreams as well. Some great and like last night I had 4 nightmares.  Are you on the liquid phase right now? Our surgeries are coming up fast.

Welcome. This is a great place. I too am going in Tuesday the 9th. Wow! It's coming finally. I'm going through head hunger starvation on this liquid diet. It make a week feel like a month. Sorry, hunger making me maudlin there for a sec. Congrats on your date, and I hope you like it here.

Hi. I'm not required to go on a liquid diet until Sat and Sunday..and then to drink some magnesium stuff on Sunday morning in prep for my surgery on Monday morning..Do you have to do that too? I do like it here. Thanks for responding.  Less than a weak to go in this life long struggle!!! Can't wait!
