hi all im here in the hostpile 2 days after surgery.im in monterrey mexico.they are so great here.this is the best care i have ever gotten.they come in every 1 to 2 hours to check up on me.if have had some problems though.the iv in left hand sweled and my feeding tub is clogged.they are doing something today about the feeding tube.then i get released to a hotel.the drs coming every day to hotel to check on paitints.nice hotel.for my husbend.free breakfast and dinner for him.i was a littel sore yesterday but today i fill great.i cont wait to get home. cary

I wish there was an easy solution for you but there isnt...all I can say is just hang in there, after surgery the liquid diet continues and you will be able to have surgar free jello, popsicles etc. the only thing I can think of is Basken Robins has surgar free hard candy, they have a variety of flavors that might help, or any hard candy that's surgar free, also crystal light, propel or fullfil you can find them all at Walmart and you can add them to your water and they are really good...good luck I hope this helps...I'll be praying for you...just try to relax and take it as it comes...God is there with you so when you need something let him know and he'll provide it for you. Hi Esther, Well it Thursday night and I am home and feeling pretty good. I'm pretty sore and have some huge bruises but all in all it wasn't bad at all. My doctor made me spend the night at the hospital so I got home about 12:00 today. The gas isn't too bad, I am able to burp and get rid of it. I made myself get up just a couple hours after surgery and walk the halls.I am drinking liquids okay but have found that cold liquids make me have stomach spasms. So I'm trying to stay away from really cold things. The worse part is my doctor put me on blood thinner for 10 days and it has really caused bruising. I look like I have been beat!!! But that too shall pass. I hope this finds you doing well and that everything went smoothly with you. I'm really concerned about the anesthesia. I pray it was much better this time. Write me when you get home and feel like it. I will be anxiously awaiting your mail. PS They weighed me this morning in the hospital I am down 20 pounds!!! YEA.!!! Debi

Hello everyone I just wanted to say good luck to all having surgery this week and weeks to come. My surgery went well on 9/13/07. I was home on Saturday afternoon. I had a excellent nurse on my first two night in the hosital and her name was jennifer . She was very attentive to me and everyone she was taking care off. AMAZING!!!. Each day you get a little stronger and want to do a little more. Listen to your body. I still take naps in the afternoon for about 2 to 3 hours. My mom drove me to the walgreen's yesterday and it took everything just to hold myself up, but the fresh air did me good. I am glad I had my surgery.
