Topic: RE: Info on Doctors? Other websites??
Hi Sarah, I haven't heard of the doctors you're checking out but you can go to the website www.dssurgery.com or www.duodenalswitch.com , thre's another one called www.AllGastricBypass.com you can also type in bariatric edge in your address bar and check out the list of web sites to choose from. I went to Dr.Keshishian in Delano Ca. I drove 8 hrs to go to him but he was the closest in my area that took my insurance and turned out to be the best too. Good luck in your search!!

Topic: Info on Doctors? Other websites??
So I'm wondering, where is another site that I can find reviews, statistics, creditintials for a surgeon??? I love this site but I'm looking for 5 specific doctors.
1. Willie Melvin
2. Alfonso Torquati
3. Michael Holzman
4. Williams Richards
5. John Wright
These surgeons are all in my area but I want to see how many surgery's they've had, hear reviews on them, etc. I'm very scared of getting John Wright just because I've heard that he makes you feel ashamed of getting the surgery. I've read some on Dr. Torquati and I would really love some more info about him. Does anyone know anything?? Thanks!!

I'm doing good! Not in any pain at all.... Do you have alot of gas pressure?
Topic: RE: 1 week after surgery.
Today is my one week anniversary too... moving on to pureed foods (suprisingly, i only tried one after being given the go ahead tday).
I'm exhausted but can walk about a mile at a tme... two miles totally leaves me wiped out. I'm sick of the protein shakes, tired, and wanting to feel a lot better already. Surgery wasn't nearly as bad as I feared. Other than pain immediately post-op (before the morphine kicked in), I've been ok. I walked the first night on my own, and was able to walk a mile the day after discharge. I've lost just over 15 lbs so far - and my BMI has fallen by 3. Yay!!!
Good luck to all waiting for their date still this month!.

Topic: RE: Started pureed foods today
Oh my gosh, dinner was wonderful! I had 2 Tbsp. pureed beef mixed in broth. I ate that nice and slow and then followed up with 2 Tbsp mashed potatoes. Heaven.
I feel satisfied and thrilled to have some different taste or flavors!
The hardest part is not drinking anything within 30 minutes of eating a meal. I am so used to drinking with a meal.
No problems so far with anything I ate. I probably could have eaten more beef, but didn't want to pu****
Topic: RE: help
Hello,
You want to be sure and copy and paste the actual ticker you created not the html code. Here is a link to a tutorial that shows you how to do this:
http://www.obesityhelp.com/content/howtoaddaticker.html
You can find this and other "HOW TO" stuff by clicking "HELP" in the upper right hand corner of the web page.
If you need anything else, let us know at [email protected]
Take care,
Kathy
Topic: Heart Rate after surgery
Hey...did you have any trouble getting your heart rate back to normal the first week, after doing tasks? It has been 4 days since surgery (last Friday)...and after doing fairly simple things today (taking a shower, walking to the kitchen, etc) my heart rate is up....and doesn't come down very fast. Did it take your heart a while to get back to pretty normal recovery rates? After showering.....my heart takes about 40 minutes to get it back to normal resting rate.
