Hello, I'm 2 months post-op. Pre-op: 285 lbs Today: 256 lbs Loss of: 29 lbs I had the Lapband surgery & I am doing great! I am eating regular foods only in smaller quantities. I already had my first "fill" and it is working great. I have found that I can not eat bread unless it is toasted. Other than that, I have not had any problems. I am just happy to be traveling this road with so many wonderful people! I wish everyone great success!! ~ Lisa

I am doing pretty good. I have been able to eat a few "reg." foods. Lowfat lunch meat, Cheese and CRACKERS! Chili but I haven't lost anything in over a week so I'm getting alittle impatient. My surgery was Sept. 27 and I have lost 35 lbs. But now I am stuck at 235. I have a lot of problems w/ Constipation. But the nausa has subsided for the most part. So all in all I guess i am doing pretty well. Also just found that Slim fast has a low carb Shake. Don't taste great but it's tolerable. I am really tired of the shakes but I know it is the only way to ensure that I am getting enough protien.

I had my surgery on 9/17/07. Pre-op: 260 lbs. Today: 206 lbs. Loss of 54 lbs. This is my first time posting. I'm feeling great from the surgery, although it took about 4 weeks to get my energy back. My biggest problems are getting in enough protein and also getting in enough water. I can't drink the water plain; I have to put a slice of lemon in it so that I can get it down. I don't like any of the artificially sweetened drinks, so lemon has been the only thing to work so far. I still have to slow myself down when I eat. This is especially true when I'm eating with someone. I tend to get caught up in dinner conversation and forget about my eating "rules." If I'm eating alone, I'm okay. I started back at the gym last week. Made it there 3 times, and did a half hour of cardio each time. Tonight, I'm planning on beginning some weight training also.

Hi Minnette, My name is Paulette & I live in Easton,Pa. I had my surgery on 9-20-07 and I still have bad pain in my knees. I have lost 40 lbs and am still waiting for the pain to subside. I have a walker at my bedside to help me get out of bed. After a hot shower I am able to ambulate okay. It is really hard for me to walk as exercise. I only take extra strength tylenol and that sometimes takes the edge off for me. Unfortunately I have no suggestions for you but I thought you would like to hear from someone in your shoes too.

I'm 2mths & 6 days out from surgery & so far I feel I'm doing pretty good.. Pre-op: 255lbs Today: 208lbs Lose of: 47lbs!! I'm so glad I had my RNY. I am having a little problem with getting my protein.. I still haven't found a shake that I can drink without wanting to throw it right back up. I'm going to try the Adkins shakes & if that doesn't work I'm going to have to order some from online somewhere.. As far as food I'm doing really well.. I've been on solids since a month out. Red meat still doesn't go down well, so I've been staying away from those. Moist chicken, pork, turkey & any seafood are great. I do have to watch how fast I eat, I'm so use to eating fast from working in an Operating room that I have to slow myself down all the time. How is everyone else doing?

Tammy, Hi ! Oh Heck ya I have had little issues with my hubby being jelous & insecure. I have lost 47 pounds. He has been very supportive but he has some insecurites. I was banded sept.18th. He had a deam one night that I left him. It was so sad he was so tired the next day. I just had to reassure him I am not going anywhere and that I love him. I reminded him how much better my health is already. You aren't the only one with this issue,it will be okay. Just reassure him how u feel about him. Rue

Wow Great Job, I know you are happy. I have lost 47 and my surgery was 9/18/07. All the work is worth it,but the support and success from others is encouraging. I feel so much better already. My health is getting better to as well as my mental health. I don't know how to put my pics here,I have them on my profile. I need to figure it out so I can put more recent ones on this site. Your pics are great. Rue..Washington State

Topic: RE: 6 weeks out what are you eating?
Thanks everyone I had my lap band surgery on 9/27 and my first fill on 11/6. I am only eating a yogurt for breakfast, maybe some chicken or steak a few strips a teaspoon or two of potatoes and veggies and my snack is milk because I am worried that I am not getting enough protein. I fill up so quickly I can only have two or three bites at a time. I only have 1.5 cc's in my band but I am already really feeling full. I have to also wait between bites and chew everything till it is a liquid. I was worried that I was not eating enough until I came here and ready everyone's posts. I have lost 30 lbs so far. Thanks to everyone!!!!
