Topic: RE: How's everyone Weight Loss & eating going?
I am generally on the TN board, but wanted to jump over here to see what's happening. SW - 246 CW - 175 Loss - 71 pounds I do ok with most foods, just smaller amounts (yea!) have not been exercising since the beginning of the month (had a death in the family, made a trip to Colorado, kids out of school and of course, Christmas) WILL go walking today, though, cuz it's driving me crazy! I miss it! I need it - both physically and emotionally! It's been interesting to deal with a significant loss while so new to WLS. I've always been an emotional eater, and now I can't do that! But that's good - I told my husband I probably would have gained another 20 pounds this month if I hadn't had the surgery. Needless to say, I'm very thankful I had it! I was at 185 on Thanksgiving, so lost 10 pounds even though I was dealing with all that! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ~ Tara

Topic: RE: Definitely losing my hair now
I started losing quite a bit of hair (or so I thought) in about early-mid November. Then f-fwd to about 2 weeks ago. Oh my word! I bru**** real good before my shower - getting a very full brush-full of it. Then I take a shower and it comes out by the fistful. And when I take the towel down, my hair is in 2 big mattes. When I'm brushing it out, I feel like I'm losing 2/3 of my hair. And my hair has definitely changed consistency! Much drier and coarser. It's been really scary the last 2 weeks. I'm hoping this won't last long --- does anyone know if there's anything in particular we can do to help ourselves? ~ Tara

Topic: RE: 3mth Labs???
I haven't had any labs since pre-op and my surgeon says that he will not order any until I am 1 year out. That is weird that he is so confident in his program. I was thinking of going to my PCP and requesting them from him. Another thing about my surgeon, I had a two week follow-up, then a six week follow-up and then my next follow-up is in March at 6 months and then I will go again at 1 year.

I just found this board so this is my first post! I am 14 weeks post op and have lost 68 pounds. I started at 302 and weigh 234 now. I feel like a slow loser but I'm hoping the weight will keep melting off. I exercise for an hour a day 6X a week and haven't been keeping up on the Isopure protein drinks cuz they've been too expensive for the budget. I hope to have that change though starting tomorrow! Only had dumping and not in a awhile. I got for my labs next week so I hope all is well.

I recently started losing mine too. It was very long....past my butt. I didn't want to waste it in my hair brush so on Monday, December 24th, I had it all cut off. Locks for Love is getting 24" of very thick hair!
