Congrats on your upcoming surgery!

I am having surgery on the 12th as well. Good Luck, and don't let the worry get to you. I go thru spouts of fear too but as we all know, this is for the best! Keep us posted on how things are going. Katie

Well,my surgery date is quickly approaching and i'm getting scared but also excited.My main thing is that although i am a very optimistic person i cant help but worry about the dangers of surgery.Not so much about myself per-say but my children/family.The unknown is very scary to me.I know that at this point if i didn't have surgery my future would be very bleek-healthwise.It's been a very long and sometimes painfull journey,but i'm trying to focus on the fact that i will be healthier and happier afterwards.

Dr. Joaquin Rodriguez at Scott & White in Temple. I do not yet know what time on the 5th. I go in for all my pre-op appointments about 2 weeks prior and will learn then what time my surgery will be (and what time I need to report). Good luck!

who is doing your surgery since you are in texas? what time on the 5th is yours? i have to be there at 530 in the morning.....i am ready for it too, but way overwhelmed about it everything this month seems to be happening so fast. well bye for now and hope to chat some more..

I am feeling much the same. I just got a call this afternoon telling me when my surgery date is -- September 5th. I'm excited, scared, and yet strangely calm and ready for this. I've made peace with food as an enemy and am ready to fight to eat only to nourish my body's needs, not my mental hunger. I'm in Texas. Good luck!!! Susan
