Stalls are going to happen, just continue doing the right thing and you will start losing again. My doctor doesn't want me weighing myself at all, except for when I see him, but I do weigh myself once a month so I know I am on the right track.

Congrats!! I hope to be "normal" sometime soon myself. I just recently went from "obese" to "overweight". I feel so much thinner!

This surgery doesn't meant that we don't have to look at the basics of weight loss - diet and exercise. It just means that we have the help of not being able to eat as much and a lower appetite. The weight loss the last couple of weekends has really renewed my drive to get to my goal weight (my personal one, the doctor doesn't as a matter of policy assign one). I'm looking at my diet with a little more care than I was. My more intense exercise program will have to remain on weekends. It's hard to do during the week for me. I still weigh myself every day but to do that you need patience and tolerance for fluxuation. Ellen

Topic: Hooray ..... I'm NORMAL!!!
Hi everyone! When I got on the scale this morning, I weighed 159 which puts my BMI in the "NORMAL" range for the first time in ages!!! I have lost a total of 126 pounds in a little over 9 months!! I have 9 more pounds to lose to reach my goal! I cannot believe what an unbelievable ride this past 9 months have been. Even with all my setbacks and complications, having this surgery was the best thing that I ever did! I would do it again in a NY second! Thank you to everyone on this forum for all your support and encouragement! You are all part of the reason that I am "normal" (at least my BMI is!!) today. Hugs, Lisa

I stalled for a couple of months but I have to admit that I was not eating right and illness and injury stopped my exercise program (which was not tough enough to begin with). The past couple weekends I've worked my ass off in the garden in high heat. All of a sudden, I lost 4 lbs last weekend and 3 lbs this weekend. I ate less cause I was busy but I drank plenty of liquids so I would dehydrate. I was working over long hours. I'm very excited over losing 7 lbs in the last 8 days. Before that it didn't move for over a month. Obviously I was doing some thing wrong (no exercise, too much food) Ellen
