I am getting a littled scared too. I tend to eat for comfort.....I am a single mom and dont have much support from my family and friends. I hear a lot of idiotic statements from people about "why not just diet and exercise" or "thats too dangerous". Anyway...I am ready to take this step for me.....and as long as I keep getting on here and going to the support group meetings I hope I can stay on track. I know I will have days that I will question myself as to why I did this......and there will be days I mourne the loss of food as I see it now.....but I know the benefits of having a healthier life will be well worth it.

The Doctors will not let you go unless you are ready to be released. I think this is more then likely the policy they use if all is well and things are normal. I myself have been told that my stay will be a 2 night stay but they also told me that with my diabetes and sleep apnea it might be longer. It will depend upon you and the way you respond. I will have you in my thoughts and prayers.
Topic: Finally got a date 9/21/07
Wow I finally got a date and I thought that I would be jumping for joy and crying tears of happiness and while I am happy about having my date all the questions are flooding my mind now.... THings that I know are handled and taken care of but my surgery is on a Friday and all the kids are here on Fridays who is going to make sure they eat adn who is going to take care of them and yes I know this is all covered but it is the momma side and the worrier side coming out about everything

Huge month for me too! My twin daughters b-day is the 2nd of Sept, my youngest is the 10th of September, I am the 9th of September....My Dad and niece are the 24th too! My RNY is on the 12th....BUSY BUSY MONTH!

I am having the RNY, didn't want the lapband because it take so much longer to lose the weight and my mom and both of my sisters have had the rny, I will know what to expect
