snacking...and on peanut butter, somone yell at me!!

I am so angry with myself, I have loss some of my willpower and have began to have a spoon ful ( or 2 ) a day of peanut butter! I can't stop and I am so scared that if I don't I will blow up again. I even went as far as putting a stick note on the jar that said "tanya stay away!!" but I still do it. I just need a good aXX kicking right now, someone please!!! thanks for letting me vent Tanya

First of all, is it all natural peanut butter? If so, why don't you just make it a daily planned snack, but measure it out and record it/include it in your daily caloric intake allowance. If that's not a good enough solution, then my next suggestion is simply to throw it out and don't buy any more.

I'm a huge peanut butter fan, but with some caveats. No standing in the pantry eating out of the jar with a spoon and no more than 2 tbsp a day. I measure out 1 tbsp of PB and spread it on a couple of whole grain crackers, put them on a plate, and sit down at the table to eat them slowly. Other times, all I want is the PB and even then it gets measures and goes on a plate and I sit at the table. That keeps me honest!

I totally agree, that there isn't anything wrong with having some PB.. so long as you add it to your daily food intake log. PB is a good source of PB and helps keep you full for a while. Like the previous poster, I also have it on some whole grain crackers or a piece of 12 whole grain toast. I measure it all out though and DO NOT eat out of the jar... that's a no no since you aren't keeping a good track of intake. I will scoop it out and eat it sitting down taking my time, but its all measure and it will counts as a meal/snack.

Just read the other posts, and basically agree with them. No eating out of the jar and dit down and enjoy it. When I'm craving, and can't figure out what I'm wanting, PB is the anwser,, for me anyway. One difference, I used a teaspoon and lick it like an ice cream cone, and of course, wait until my mouth is empty before my next "lick" Good Luck Colleen
