Definitely losing my hair now

Not to jinx myself, but I don't seem to be losing hair at all. I even have been grabbing handfuls and giving it a tug to see if any come loose. I think the fact that my hair is very short (less than 3"), thick, and chemical and process free has alot to do with that. The stress of the surgery combined longer fragile and/or damaged hair cannot be a good thing. OK, after posting this I'm sure that tomorrow am I'll wake up Michael Jordan bald!

I just found this board and am so glad! I am 3 months out today. I don't notice any more hair loss than usual, but I am thinking it's right around the corner. I do, however, notice a major change in the texture. My hair is pin straight and usually feels pretty soft and healthy. It's been incredibly dry lately, almost like straw. All I need now if for it to start falling out, haha. I guess it's a small price to pay for this amazing gift that we have all received!

Ok, I need to chime in again. My hair is still falling out and I can easily fill up my hair brush. I did want to comment on the texture. My hair is feeling dry and straw like so I'm giving up and tomorrow I am getting a hair cut. We need to hang in there. It will stop eventually. I try to remain positive and just think about the 80lbs I've lost so far.

I'm losing mine too. Handfuls in the shower and in the brush after styling. I can't keep the bathroom floor hair-free! My hair is thick so I hope I stop losing it before I lose it all!

Im new to posting, but the amount of hair Ive been losing recently has brought me here for some advice. It's my understanding that hair loss is related to the amount of protein Im taking in. Which vitamin(s) is it that is supposed to help prevent hair loss? Also, I read in one of the posts here that the hair loss will eventually stop. WHEN? I did expect some hair loss, but not to the degree Im experiencing it. Thanks to you all, and keep up the good work!

DITTO!!! Me too! Darn it!! I thought I was, like others said, back in November, but YOWZA, it's just coming out by the tons now! I have very fine hair and super duper straight. UGH...now this! I used to joke about my hair...This is the only place on this body (my hair), that doesn't have any body!! We'll just have to hang in there. Enjoy the ride! Susan =0)

I figured i'd add my two cents worth too. I started losing some in october, but upped my protein and it really slowed down and almost stopped, but in the last 3 weeks or so it has seriously picked up, I am pulling out tons of it in the shower an while styling after shower. My hair is not colored, permed or highlighted, but its definetly coming out!! I am just crossing my fingers that it doesnt become noticable. Once it stops it should regrow.

Me too, but not by handfuls (yet!). Last week was the first time I noticed it. I immediately started taking BIOTIN capsules and also purchased some additional high-quality hair care products so my body didn't have to fight so hard for my hair - or so I'm hoping! I have a thick head of hair, so a little loss will not be terribly noticable. Bald patches would be my biggest worry, so hopefully I'm keeping that from happening...at the very least! We've made it over many hurdles, so I guess, this too shall pass -- just hurry up and pass already!! LOL Take care everyone and keep up with the great results! You all look MARVELOUS! Hugs ~ KimmyGee
