Just wondering what others are doing at this point. I am having trouble finding foods that I can tolerate or enjoy. Also unsure about how much to eat at a time. That "Full" feeling is always here. Here is what I had today 7:30 am 1 scoop whey Protien in 6oz water 10:30 3/4 of 1Scrambled egg 130 1 scoop Protien w/ 4oz skim milk & 2 oz of water. 430 2oz of mild cheddar Cheese 2-3 bottles of water and later I will have some sf pudding (to get my meds down.) I am really having trouble eating and getting all my liquids in.

I am a bad example . I got so tired of eating and drinking the nasty stuff. Just the thought of protein shakes would make me gag. The last couple of weeks I've been eating pretty much whatever I want. I can hold anything down IF I eat it correctly. I have to wait 2-3 minutes between bites and of course I have to chew, chew, chew. I can only get 3-4 bites in at a meal. I try to eat high protein meals but I know I'm not getting near the amount that I'm suppose to. My surgery was Sept 17 and I've lost 28 pounds.

I'm the same...the protein stuff I stopped like 3 weeks ago. I would have to change it up every few days because it made me so sick, and now I can't even smell the stuff without wanting to puke...but I eat lots of cottage cheese and lowfat milk and that works pretty well for me. My surgeon just OK'ed me for all foods, that work for me, of course, and don't make me sick so A typical day I eat some cottage cheese and salsa, a glass of milk, maybe a latte or something with milk from starbucks, a sugar free slurpee, a half sandwich loaded with meat and cheese (as loaded as you can get on 1 piece of wheat toast), and then some type of meat/veggies for dinner. I'm trying to have more variety now..but it's hard since I can still eat so little.

My latte isn't decaf, but I know you can get decaf if you want. I know that caffeine isn't the best thing for everyone, but my doctor knows, and I'm doing alright. There's no sugar in it, because I get the sugar free version. They have sugar free vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, and cinnamon dolce syrup, and they can make a sugar free one. oh yeah, they just came out with the gingerbread sugar free syrup too. i guess it'd just have the sugar that's natural in the milk..i know a sugar free latte only has about 130 calories though..if you get nonfat.

my dr DOES NOT want me to drink protein shakes, he just says water, protein first when you eat, eat only when you are hungry, and exercise. so i dont have a set schedule for eating and i dont measure anything. i usually get hungry around 1 or 2 and since i have gone back to work i have eaten alot of the tuna-to-go packs and the chicken-to-go kits. i will usually eat half then save the rest for later. thats about all i would eat for one day. if i dont have that i will eat whatever the family is eating for dinner. i have a pretty strong pouch i think, the only times i have felt sick is when i have eaten too fast or not chewed well enough. i went to Olive garden the other day for lunch w a friend and i had salad and 3 stuffed mushrooms and i was fine. i think the key for me is to CHEW, CHEW, CHEW and i dont have a problem. i had my surgery on 9/25 and i have lost 33 lbs.

Thanks everyone I had my lap band surgery on 9/27 and my first fill on 11/6. I am only eating a yogurt for breakfast, maybe some chicken or steak a few strips a teaspoon or two of potatoes and veggies and my snack is milk because I am worried that I am not getting enough protein. I fill up so quickly I can only have two or three bites at a time. I only have 1.5 cc's in my band but I am already really feeling full. I have to also wait between bites and chew everything till it is a liquid. I was worried that I was not eating enough until I came here and ready everyone's posts. I have lost 30 lbs so far. Thanks to everyone!!!!
