Hello everyone. Thought I would chime in too. I had RNY on 9/25/07 Weight 3/1/07: 269 lbs Weight 9/25/07 227 LBS---(I lost 11 lbs on 2 week liquid protein diet) Weight today: 216 lbs----(I lost 11lbs in the first 4 weeks post op) For a total loss of 53 lbs total. I feel great and my recovery has been very well. Exercise and returning to work has been challenging. The work routine has been more tiring that I thought it would be. But am getting at least 4 day for the last week. But when I was off, was walking daily. Doing well with protein and eating have had 3 times post-op that things didn't settle, but all and all pretty well. my pouch is happiest when empty however=if truth be told. Each week it is easier to get my fluid in----I am soooo thankful. Jackie

Hi, My surgery date was 9/11/07 lost almost 30 lbs. I would like to ask everyone why is everybody in such a hurry? It took all of our lives to get this way and it will certainly take a considerable amount of time to get back to somewhat normal. I am also having a problem getting the shakes in. I am thinking about putting more than 1 scoop in my shake. This way I will get double the protein in one shake and don't have to drink as many. Some of them taste good, but, after awhile you get tired of the taste all of the time. I tried the banana and creme GNC 100% whey. I also tried the chocolate caramel. I tried the designer whey and it was discusting. Take your time. Buy the smaller bags and get a couple of different flavors. This way you won't get as tired of the same flavor all of the time. Please be patient with yourself and you will come along just fine. Yours truly, Brenda NJ

Surgery date 9/27/07 Starting weight- 268.5 Last week's weight- 243.5 This week's weight- 239.5 This week's loss- 4 lbs I was at a stall for nearly 12 days, so I'm thrilled with that 4 lbs. I also hate the protein shakes. I don't have a problem with milk, but the shakes make me nauseous. I'm working on it.
