I had my surgery on Sept 21 and I am fine from that BUT OMG since I cant take my Voltaren (anti-inflamitory) for my knees I can barely walk. My liver was so elevated because I was on the Voltaren (anti-inflamitory) that being off it is helping that but making me a cripple. Today I bought Liquid Mortrin and took it but no help at all. Does any one have any suggestions other than cortisone shots in my knees until I get this weight off!! Thank you for your support Minnette Surgery 9/21 Pre op weight 286 Weight on 10/1 271

I would ask your PCP for another pain medication alternative. I am pretty sure liquid motrin is a "No No". I use to take motrin for back pain and was told after the bypass surgery I can no longer use Motrin. Good luck in finding a remedy for your pain. I know it sucks to suffer in pain. Gloria

I was told no motrin, no aspirin. Motrin was my wonder drug. It killed any pain I had in my back or legs or cramps. Now, I have to rely on tylenol!! Hoping the surgery will be taking care of the pain issues for the most part. Please call your doctor and explain how you're feeling!!

Hi Minnette, My name is Paulette & I live in Easton,Pa. I had my surgery on 9-20-07 and I still have bad pain in my knees. I have lost 40 lbs and am still waiting for the pain to subside. I have a walker at my bedside to help me get out of bed. After a hot shower I am able to ambulate okay. It is really hard for me to walk as exercise. I only take extra strength tylenol and that sometimes takes the edge off for me. Unfortunately I have no suggestions for you but I thought you would like to hear from someone in your shoes too.
