one day before sugery I'm anxious and nervous

sept 25,2007 is my big day for surgery i pray that everything goes well. I have little a nd no pain. Please pray for me.

Barbara: Good luck on your surgery! I will be praying that everything does go well. I had mine two weeks ago. I will tell you that there will be some pain but nothing you can't manage. The BEST thing is to get up as soon as you can after surgery and walk walk walk. At first it will be hard but you can do it. I had trouble standing upright for a while but the more I did, the easier it got. This second week is so much better and soon you'll be here too. Just picture what you want to look like and why you had this surgery and keep that as a focul point in your mind. I'm so excited for you. GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS. Debra

I have'nt got my date yet..one day soon i'll be where you are .But know that i'm praying for you ..as well as the surgeons....i pray that the pain would'nt be no more that you can bear ..keep your head up know that there is a brighter day waiting just for you

Please do not fear! God will take care of you and guide your surgeon! I am living proof that Romans8:28 fulfills. I am 5 and a half years post. I am ,also 63 yrs and had my GBS in 2002. I started off weighing 242 lbs. I had open RNY. I now weigh 117lbs and my BMI is 21.3. I forgot to add, My height is 5'2. I have been fine since my GBS and would do it all over again every 6mos. if it was necessary. Before my GBS, I had sooo many health problems from Insulins dependence (5) injections daily, A Heart Attack, Open Heart Surgery (5) heart Grafts and numerous other health problems. I will ,promise you, You will be better each day after your GBS. I hope, I have helped to ease some of your fears and make you feel better! God is good and he will go right with you into the OR and will be following you as you take this incredible Journey which is going to change your life and lives of your family members. my surg is in two weeks as well. I know I will post asking everyone to tell me I am doing the right thing!! lol Its only natural for us to worry about everything!! We are so hard on ourselves. Anyone who has had this done would be lying if they said they didnt worry about the surgery just before OR. Put all of it in HIS hands and He will be with you and will give you peace and strengthen you with HIS strength. Remember you are making a decision to be rid of that obesity demon forever!!!
