Here we go!
Ok kids, im home. Surgery went well with some minor difficulty. Seems men carry their fat differently than women. Every time he tried to band me the fat slipped back into place. With a BMI of nearly 60 its no wonder. So it took him a bit longer than normal and they kept me overnight for observation. My lovely wife spent the night in my room too. Shes a keeper..LOL
Thanks for all those well wishes. I sure did appreciate them.
Jeff,
Glad to see you are home and things went well. God Bless your lovely wife. A good support person is the best. I plan to spend the night in the hospital too. Just in case. How are you feeling now that it's day 3? I only have 2 days left and I can't wait. I know what you mean about the fat, that is why my doctor has me on a 10 day liquid diet to help shrink the fatty liver to make it easier to slip the band on. I've had a couple of rough times but have lost 15#'s already!!! Well hope to chat more later
Debi
Hey Debi,
I was pretty nauseus on day two but when I woke up this AM I felt so much better. I wasnt able to eat any jello or ice pops without getting sick and I only drank minimal amounts of water, what I was able to tolerate. But today, day 3, I am beginning phase 2, 3 meals a day of slimfast and all the ice pops I can handle. I only had to be on liquids 2 days prior but I did it 3 days and my liver was fine. I just had to limit my carbs to no more than 30. Good luck and best wishes. Jeff
