RU Exercising to GET READY????
Hello September 07 Babies.
Thought I would check in to see what everyone is doing to exercise to get our bodies ready for our upcoming event of surgery. The better condition we go in the bet better we will come out and the sooner we will be at home in our own beds.
My current favorite is water aerobics 2-3 days a week- Then I garden or walk on the weekend.
Good luck to everyone. I lookforward to using this board a great deal for support post-op.

Yesssss! I'm actually kind of sad, because I've come to love the gym, and my surgeon says, because of my open RNY I can't do anything but walk for at least 3 months. I am hoping to talk him in to letting me do some stuff early - if I'm well enough of course. I'm really getting excited the 12th is my day. Exercise everyone! (if you can) you'll heal so much better!
I am walking / running(intervel) 3 to 4 time a week. 3 miles a day. I also do some core exercise on the ball. When I can not get out side because of the weather. (HOT/HUMIDY). I have a dvd of walking a mile in your home. I usually do the video twice to get in 2 miles. I have lost 10lbs so far and I start my liquid diet tomorrow. My lap RNY surgery is Sept. 13, 07. I can't wait. Good luck to everyone and see less of you in the future.
Peace and Love,
Alanis
