Topic: So when does it stop
I'm wondering how you all are doing? I'm starting to worry that I'm losing too much. I'm 5'9", I now weight 167, which is just within the 'normal range', but I can see bones all over the place, spine, neck, ribs, etc... I think I have a large frame so to me I shouldn't lose any more. I'm somewhere between a size 8-12 depending on manufacturer and just can't believe I'm still losing. I thought I was done, the last 3-4 months I was ranging 169-171lbs which again, I am fine with. I've noticed lately I'm having a harder time digesting dinner, thats usually when I have a more significant portion of protien, but digestion of the meal sounds like my stomach is having a fist fight for an hour, and it can be painful. I do fine during the day with a salad and some grilled chicken on it normally for lunch, protien shake for breakfast and fruit, cheese and pretzel snacks throught the day. I'm very careful about drinking 70oz of water or better every day and getting my vitamins. I really thought by now i would stop, but I just started losing again and lost a size or 2 in the past week. I never thought I'd get this small and am worried about getting to small. I meet with my surgeon next week to talk about it, but what are you all experiencing at this point? I look forward to hearing from you all! Renee

Hello Becca, I am beginning this journey. I meet with my surgeon on 11/6 and then the psycholgist and the nutritionist. I'm hoping to have the surgery within the next two months. Please let me know ypur pre-op and post op experience. What was the pain level and what challenges did you incur? Thank you, Tracey

Topic: RE: pain in my stomach
it could be possably the gall bladder or the acid... for me i had my gall bladder out in may the pain for me started just under my right boob and spread around to the left side and the whole way around my back... but at times i would also just get a pain in the middle right under the rib area... also i notice now that if i am short on my fluids i get bad pains in the mid section under the ribs too and they r almost as painful as the gall bladder attacks.. for me when i start paining i take a few swigs of water and after a few min it usually goes away but if it dont i pop a prevacid and that does the trick

Topic: RE: pain in my stomach
Hi Kim, I am having the same exact problem. I went to the doctor on Monday, 10/22 and he said I have acid in my stomach. I told him that I don't have heartburn, just a pain under my ribcage in the middle of my stomach. He gave me prevacid and sending me to get an ultrasound. I asked him if it could be my gall badder and he said that usually the abdomen pain is on the right side. My ultrasound appointment is tomorrow morning. I'll let you know the results. It's very painful. It hurts worse when I eat!

Hi Kim. Have them check your gall bladder. I'm not sure what that feels like, but I know that is a common problem (gallstones) after surgery. Hope you feel better soon.

Topic: pain in my stomach
I read all of your messages all the time but this is my first post. I am having a problem and need some advise. I had my surgery Sept. 2006 and have been doing o.****il now. My Stomach is hurting like it is cramping up (the pain is up high just under my ribcage) and has been for five days now. Sometimes when I eat it helps but most of the time I am in pain. Has anyone had this problem? I am not having any other symptoms. Thanks in advance for any help.

Topic: 1 year today
So today I am 1 year out!!! I feel great and couldn't be happier. It has been a fairly easy journey. No complications, no regrets. I have reached my goal as far as size and once plastics happen I am sure I will be the weight I want. I still have a hard time seeing the changes. I still see the fat girl I always was. I can't believe I fit into a size 6!!! I dont ever remeber being that size growing up. I was always in the plus sizes. Thank you to everyone here who has always been there for me answering questions and sharing their wisdom. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found this site. In honor, I am doing the Walk for Obesity this Sat. to help raise money for a common goal... to help educate people and give them hope. This summer was the most active I have ever been. I went to different states to go to amusement parks, and water parks. I was more active overall. So thank you everyone for your encouragment and support.
