Topic: RE: How much have you lost? and how are you feeling?
I am almost 4 months out and have lost 55 lbs since surgery and 23 pre surgery. I feel great accept for a cold that I have had for a week. I too have noticed saggy skin on arms, inner thighs, tummy and lower butt cheeks. In a couple of months I plan to increase my exercise to include some weights to hopefully tighten up some of those areas.

Hi!
Overall I'm feeling GREAT!! I've lost 57 since surgery plus the 32 I lost before makes 89 for 2006!!
I think I've hit a bit of a plateau......scales haven't moved in a couple of days but I'm doing the plan and I know it will move eventually.
I'm back in the office I started with this company in 1999 and several people told me I look like I left 1/2 of me back in Alabama!!
I love hearing that!!
Lots of skin hanging and I have probably 80 more pounds to go so, I will definitely be pursuing plastic surgery in my future.
I am glad I made the effort to research and go thru with WLS and wish I had done it a LONG time ago!!

Topic: How much have you lost? and how are you feeling?
Well it's been 4 months...(it will be on the 7th) I've lost 82lbs, I have 45ish to go (at least that's what the surgeon says). I'm wondering how everyone else is doing. We had a death in the family over the holidays, so I had to reschedule my 3 month appt. I'm finding I'm having some strange effects lately. I feel very light headed quite often and very... I don't know slightly confused, I'm forgetting little things more than I used to. I am very careful to get enough water, veggies, fruit and protein daily and all my vitamins. I walk 2+ miles daily and do water aerobics and lift weights 3 times per week. I'm not sure what's going on, but my doc appt is in 3 weeks so we'll see what the blood work says then. Anyone else feeling this?
Also, starting to get some very hanging skin, on my belly where the stretch marks from my son are, inner thighs, upper under arms. Anyone else noticing this yet?
Other than that I'm doing well. I went skiing New Year's Eve, haven't done that in 20 years. I certainly felt it in my knees for a few days after, but 6 months ago I could not even consider it. Went to FL and visited family and Sea World, noticed a big difference walking the park all day... it didn't even bother me. I'm very thankful for the difference in my health. I'm hoping i just need to change my diet a bit. We'll see.
So..... let's see how you all are doing....?

Topic: RE: New to the board
Jodi,
Welcome! I was 297 and today I weigh 229. I have good days and bad days. I have had a few complications. I had a stricture and had to be scoped. Then they found an ulcer but I'm still glad I had the surgery. What I can eat varies from day to day. What I have trouble with is getting in all the water and protein. Keep posting!!!!

Topic: New to the board
Hello everyone! I have never posted to this board but I think maybe I should be! I had my surgery 9-25. I was 247 the day of surgery and weigh 174 now. I was in a size 24 jeans the day of surgery and now wear a 16. I think this is by far the BEST decision I have ever made in my life. I am finally able to eat a little more. It took a while for me to be able to handle more than 2 or 3 spoonfuls of food. I cannot eat rice or eggs. And, I cannot drink milk at all. That is the only thing I really miss...I love milk. Well, how is everyone else doing?

Topic: RE: Spasms?
My stomach does that too. Its like when you have thrown up so much that the muscles are contracting and it hurts soooo bad. It has made me cry at times.
Topic: RE: The incredible shrinking woman???
I'm doing well. Meats and broccoli get stuck very easily and I have to be very careful with fats, but I am fine with natural sugars. I try to stay away from carbs as much as possible. I am trying to talk myself into going to the gym now. I didn't sleep well last night so I am VERY tired right now. I missed yesterday because I didn't realize they were closing at 2:00. I know if I just got up and went, I would be fine.

Yes Heather! You are making perfect sense. Goodness knows my butt was (still is) pretty big....maybe that's it.....Or I have lost fat in my feet...LOL LOL
How are you doing with everything Heather? How are the foods working for you? I don't have any sugars...very little anyway...and I cannot eat beef. Besides that I have been doing well.... I need to get to the gym. Things are starting to hang if you know what I mean.

Hi Jen,
I haven't gotten shorter...buy my butt has gotten smaller...so now all of my pants are too long. There isn't as much butt back there to pull up the pant legs, so now they hang straighter. Am I making any sense?
