Topic: RE: How much have you lost? and how are you feeling?
Hey Ladies! I am 15 weeks out from surgery and down a total of 68lbs. 48 since 9/25. I feel awesome! I went from barely being able to walk 1.5 miles to jogging 4 days a week. I also lift weights and do circuit training. I am so glad that I made the decision to have wls. My whole life has changed in the most profoundly positive ways. I love my band! Glad to hear that you all are having such wonderful results as well. Cheers! ~Cathleen

Topic: RE: Lapbanders, where are you??
Hey girl! I had my band "installed" on 9/25. I am down 48lbs since surgery and 68 from my highest non pregnancy weight. I have a bit of restriction and have 1.6cc in my 4cc band. I have had two fills in the last 12 weeks and am very happy with my band. How are you doing? I also should mention that I work out 4-6 times a week and started with a BMI of 51. Hope all is well. Do you ever go over to the lapband forum? I'm on there all the time. I luv those guys and gals. ~Cathleen

Yep! I was there too until this morning.....I kept losing and re-gaining the same 3 pounds and then this morning I finally went below the 'stall point' and got down an extra 1.2 pounds - this had been going on since about Jan 1. I kept to the plan - 65 - 90 g of Protein everyday, good lean protein; vitamins as prescribed; 70+ oz of water each day and I know I was losing inches just not any extra pounds until today. Oh, and I walk about 45 minutes, give or take a few every day. Hang in there - watch the carbs, drink your water, do your protein, get your exercise and it will come off!!! Topic: How much are you eating...
So I noticed that in the last week I am able to eat about 2-3 ozs of food at a time. Is this normal? What is everyone eating? I find I have a weird craving for potatoes... I limit them and eat them only after I had protien. I am gown 68 lbs from surgery and am drinking more protien... plain water is also not as bad as it was. I wish all my Sept buddies the best. ~Michelle

Brenda: That's typical. Anytime I hit a plateau I find that I am loosing inches and not pounds. Also, you are building muscle with the exercise and muscle weighs more than fat. In the long run the weight will come off. Some people here actual say to increase your food intake and it helps. I haven't tried that so I'm not sure. Keep up the good work. Peg Miller

Topic: Its really starting to get to me
Hi all I have tried so hard to keep my head up and be possitive.. but I havent lost but a couple pounds in a month... I stoped a 3 months and only lost like I said a couple pounds for the last month. I keep losing and gaining the same 4 pounds.. I am not over eating and I am getting my protein and most of my water in.. I have joined a gym and am doing an hour on the damb killer machines.. but it just is not doing anything... I am getting super bummed out. It makes me think that Im not going to lose anymore that 3 months was it for me...

Topic: RE: 16 weeks out.
Congratulations, Nicole! It sounds like you're doing great I had my surgery Sept. 13th and I am down 60 since surgery and 16 before that so I am counting 76 lbs...woohoo!!! Of course, I still at times worry that this isn't going to work for me which is silly, I know. I am also losing hair everywhere. Thank goodness I had a lot of it to start with! It's so nice to hear from others with Sept. surgeries who are doing so well. Thanks for posting!! -Christine

Topic: RE: Iron, are you taking it?
My surgeon has me taking Vitron-C. It has 200 mg Iron and 125 mg Vitamin C. The Vitamin C helps your body process the iron. I also had trouble taking iron before, but this doesn't bother me. I had to take it 3 times a day at first, but after 3 months, I'm down to once a day. Good luck, Vicki
