I saw my Dr last week for my 6 month follow-up. I have only lost 4 pounds in the last 3 months for a total of 45 pounds. The Dr said I could go on a diet. What!!! I had 95% of my stomache removed. I exercise at least 3 times a week. My husband is gone all the time and I have 3 kids. I am doing the best I can. I go to support meetings 1x a week. I dont get it. I have another appointment with the NUT next week for some ideas. All of my blood work is perfect. Anyone have the same issues? I am sick of people saying that they have "only" lost 85 pounds etc... I am so discouraged. I feel like a failure. HELP!

Hi Jodi, I too started experiencing hairloss two months ago, but taking Biotin 5000mg 2x a day and upping my protein to an average of 125grams per day has all but stopped my hair loss. I've always had very fine hair and couldn't afford to lose much more. So far my hair feels much better and a bit fuller. Best of luck. Gladys

Howdy, Cassie I figured you were a bit behind me - I was the Centennial Class of '76 - WHOOP! Are you going to Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels or Galveston? I live on Galveston Island and if you were going to be down this way, I was going to say let's meet somewhere!! You will have a great time - I'm looking forward to the summer too.....smaller size clothes and swimsuit.....but my thighs will still look like a Sharpei puppy!! Terry T

Hi Terry, I'm Class of '89. Gig'em Ags! Congratulations on your weight loss. When I lived in Texas, I always wondered how the cute little skinny chics managed to keep their make-up looking good all day long even in the summer. Now I know. I'm so looking forward to the Texas trip to see family and friends. I'm taking my boys to the Schlitterbahn Waterpark, knowing that I'll be able to keep up with them and not feel out of place in my swimsuit.

Hi, Jill! Let me know how things are going for you! If the wig works, I may consider doing the same if I lose too much more hair. Thanks for the tip. You're right...it's not too bad of a setback. I'd rather have this to deal with vs. the obesity and going back to the way things were before surgery. Good luuck to you and let me know how things go!
