anyone ever on this board? i am hoping to be supportive and find support from some people who are having surgery around the same time! I am nervous but excited. it seems like a long wait still, but i know it will be here soon.

Hi all, I am writing because I was looking for people who were pre op to talk with. I don't have a date and am envious that you all have one. I am guessing if thing go well I will actually get the surgery in late October or November. I am where you all are I had a pysch consult, got my upper gi, and am in my 3 of 6 section with the dietation. I am very anxious to have the surgery. But I know I have a lot of work to do mentally before I actually get it, in order to be successful and keep the weight off. But with summer here, boy I wish I could get rid of some weight. For a while, I was busy house hunting and going through the whole mortgage process to really focus on it, but now that it is winding down, we move next week. Yah! but now all I find myself doing is reading the message board and wishing I was post op, but since Im not I have searched for people who I could relate to and talk to and find out if anyone else are having simular feeling.

Im thinking that I am all alone here LOL. I am due to have my surgery on September 11, 2006 and was looking to find someone that is having their surgery around there to talk to for support. Ill just be here waiting! LOL
