That cute little guy is my grandson! His name is Jayden he is 2 1/2 yrs. old, I also have a 5 month old grandson named Isaiah. I also like that pic because for some reason it makes my face look thinner than it really is !!!

Thanks for the reply, I am excited and I can only tell my husband that so many times before he says "I know already!" I am looking forward to the actual date, "before the end of September" makes me feel like it's not real yet. Plus it's kind of depressing to get on here and noone really talks to ya. I have ALL my pre-surgery appointments set up, the last appt is Sept 19th so I guess I'll have surgery sometime between the 20th-30th LOL I wish you well God Bless Sharmie

Betty and Renee - COngrats to you two on your dates. I just got my date this a.m. September 20th!! I am so excited. I have 7 weeks to wait though. I hope not to gain any more weight but it will be hard. I might want to eat everything for the last time. Everything is done for me. I go in for pre-op tests on Sept 15th and register at the hospital. The on Sept 20th that is it. I have the first appt of the day 7:30 and they want me there at 5:30. I am nervous, but I am so ready to do this. As far as the pain goes jsut give me good drugs!!!!

Hi Sharmie I totally know how you feel. I got my date today - September 20th I feel like the time is going to go by so slow. But in reality I know time flies!! I am going to try to stay busy and get things done in the house that haven't been done in awhile. Kind of like a spring cleaning. I guess we can always come on line here and read people profiles and questions and answers. It is nice to have a board for September dates so we can talk and get to know each other. We will be having the same problems/experiences at the same time. As time goes by we will get more and more people with Sept. as their surgery date.

Hi Sandra. I just got my date this a.m. September 20th!!!! I am so thrilled. I guess for me I was lucky the entire process has taken only 5 months. I am very happy. My emotions right now are strange. I am happy, a little bit scared, and worried about getting the "last meal" syndrome. I am afaid since I have 7 weeks until surgery that I will want to ea everything. I really don't want to do that though and I am going to try very hard not to. I have told some people from work. I know 2 people I work closely with and they both had RNY and have done great. They have been a good support for me. A few other people are not so thrilled - thinking it is too drastic. I have told my family and they are all o.k. with it. They know how uncomfortable this weight is making me. My husband has told a few peoplethat I wish he wouldnt. I asked him to allow me to decide who to tell, because it is a personal desicion. He told an acquaintance about it and she happens to be a fitness/health nazi. She pretty much lectured me and said do I realize what I am going to my body?? It hurt my feelings. Then she said that I will be all flabby. I told her that I would take flabby over fat any day! I know my life is going to change, but truly I am ready for it and I welcome it. I am tired of how I have been living. Keep me posted on you I know you are very happy and excited too !!!
